Does anyone know what’s going on with these absolutely hideous, massively tall, new concrete power poles, appearing all the mid-West coast of Phuket (and maybe elsewhere?). These hideous things destroy some of the most beautiful views.

How can anyone who loves Thailand, as most Thais profess to do, erect such egregious eyesores? It’s crazy.
