Having owned boats most of my life I've launched them thousands of times on all sorts of ramps, beaches, etc.

I've had to put the vehicle up to the doors in water to float the boat off a damaged trailor, but never once did I think of driving the car in first.

But, for amusement on a Sunday afternoon here in Canada we often just sit watching people (mostly men) try to launch their boats. It's always good for laughs. It never ceases to amaze me how many people can't back up a vehicle, and even fewer can't do it with a trailer.
