Where Do You Keep Your Cel Phone?

Featured Replies

Ian, its just that in this forum you often come across as having no real respect for women. Maybe you do in real life..i wouldnt know. This impression of you has developed over a period of time. YOu are friendly, of course, and have often been very kind to me...and thanks for that. But, there is things that you say and the photos that you usually put up of women, which make me feel that you have a certain view of women which is not much about their substance as people.

I realise this thread is meant to be light-hearted, so im sorry if im spoiling your fun guys.

Eek, I'll make no apologies for being a visual person who enjoys lovely looking women. I don't know many real men who don't.

I got a new phone last week after dropping my old one in a cup of tea. Within 10 minutes the screen was scratched, don't know how it happens as i keep it in a special pocket designed to hold a mobile in my handbag. When listening to the radio on it I plug in the earphones the store the phone down the side of my bra, left boob, that way the wire from the earphones don't stretch too much or get tangled. Keeping the phone in the middle of the cleavage is just too sweaty & can cause phone damage ;)

Have you tried that clear contact paper? (I know its too late for this one though)Works great to keep the screen from getting scratched. I use to use it on Palm Pilots & it kept the screen in good shape.

being a builder that is also the reason I still use clam shell type phones though I think the new touch phones are pretty cool. :(

Eek, I'll make no apologies for being a visual person who enjoys lovely looking women. I don't know many real men who don't. However, I've never been disrespectul of anyone unless they attack me first. I just enjoy a bit of rough humour. That is one of the main reasons why I married my first wife. We enjoyed teasing each other and having a bit of good natured bantering in a typical Australian manner. it was never disrespectful or nasty. That is why I like the Kiwis and Aussies. They don't mind poking fun at each other over any subject. You seldom find that with staunch American Democrats or Republicans. They take things way too seriously.

As I've said before, I love all women if they are fun to be with. It doesn't matter what age they are. And, for the most part, they seem to enjoy my company. However, I do shock the odd person because I'm always honest... unless of course, if I'm embellishing a funny story. 52 years ago I had a rather traumatic event in my life and I vowed never to lie, steal or cheat anyone. I'm proud that I've kept that promise to myself. But, some people can't handle the truth and you have to tip toe around it to not hurt someone's feelings.

One thing I do know something about is humanity and why people do the strange things they do.

For the most part here, we only tease the people we enjoy and just ignore those that we don't..

Pete meant no harm in his comment about your reason for not replying. He was just having a bit of fun at your expense and sbk over reacted.

I will thank you for not analzying my reaction, thanks as that also goes a tad too far.

and it wasn't pete.

Ah, but just think how it feels when that little vibrator thing goes off when it rings.

Hmmm, that reminds me, and come to think of it I could always stick it in my underwear... if I wore any.

I used to have a nice cloth case that wasn't too bulky and fit the phone tightly. But, like all things made of cloth it got grubby and had to be washed. Washing stretched it and made it useless. Now the clamshell phone is in a nice fitting leather case, but it's more bulky than it was before, and uncomfortable for going into my pocket. I also have a slimmer model with a big screen, but it's more open to getting scratched. I try to keep it in a slim, eyeglasses case. I only bought it because it has a great alarm for waking me up. It's better than most, small, travel alarm clocks.

You can buy scratch protector film for most mobiles on Ebay. If that's a problem in Thailand let me know the model of your phone and I'll get some and post it on.

I was sitting down with one of my buffaloes last week and when I got up I guess my phone slipped out of my shirt pocket. A couple minutes later one of my workers was running up to me with it and it looked the same but just a bit thinner. I guess I ran over it with my truck. Well, it stopped working after that.

Recognizing that I'm not particularly careful about these things and I get/make about 5 calls per week I went down and bought the cheapest Nokia to replace it. Apparently they don't use the same screen glass in the cheap ones as the normal ones as I cracked the glass screen on the first day.

I keep my wife. I charge my cell phone..................

I see, so now its acceptable to insult eek because she finds your posting offensive? calling her a silly drunken female is a tad too far in my opinion. why am I not surprised some of you boys can't grow up and face the fact that the entire world doesn't share your juvenile interests without resorting to insults?

Sad indeed.

Oh just saw your post.

Tbh..i dont really care. For starters i dont even drink. Not a drop. If someone doesnt like what i say in this forum, cest la vie. I try to be respectful even when expressing an opinion. Nice if others do the same. Either way, comments on the internet dont often affect me.

Well said eek, your attitude to other members and the forum has remained unchanged since you rose to a higher level and I respect you all the more for it. :wai:

I agree with all three of you, but I also see nothing offensive about that photo.

I keep my phone in my shirt pocket.

Imo too, its not an offensive image UG. Its just that its accumulative..if you get what i mean. Not sure if that makes any sense.. :ermm: but it wasnt the image per say...

Its the same if say someone were to make a joke about something..its fine..its funny..but if they were to make jokes repeatedly about the same nationality/race/sex etc etc it starts to give a distinct impression that the person making those jokes (comments or whatever) doesnt have any real respect or consideration for whoever or whatever they are making fun of/talking about. Even if they didnt intend it to come over like that. If someone were to post a photo of an old person doing something humiliating, it may be humorous..but repeatedly showing an old people in a certain light would have me wondering why that person keeps doing that.

..again..not sure if what im saying makes sense. I gave a reaction without an explanation..so actually, im not surprised that members wondered wth i was on about.

Why does every humerous post in Bedlam end up being about one persons hypersensibilities and everyone else backing off amidst loud sucking noises?

Careful there me old briefcase. Forum rules forbid me ( and you ) from divulging where those sucking noises come from.....................

Edited to add: What Sounders and CB get up to in the privacy of the secret moderators room is up to them. After all, one of them is a consenting adult.

Edited again to add: One of them claims to be a consenting adult !!

All I was commenting on was it's possible to annoy eek without being reminded of her position on the board.

Arent you being a tad hypersensitive about my hypersensibilities? Raspberry.gif

Men have always looked at women's boobs n butts and the women know it. That is why women wear push up bras, low cut dresses and bikini bathing suits... they like to be admired. There are countless jokes about it. We've even got two, long, entire theads on the subject of attractive women in suggestive clothing... or non clothing as the case may be. I seldom participate in either of them. I just added the photo because it was appropriate to the topic. Cel phones are a pain to carry, and you DO have to protect them because they aren't cheap. An exposed screen will scratch and the folding one like I use is a bit bulky for my pocket.

I'm thinking we met in a bar in Leith once.....
