The granddaddy of personality tests, The Myers-Briggs Personality Test, says im an INTJ. Apparently Masterminds are INTJ's. There must be a flaw in the formula.

I agree....there is surely a middle ground between extraverted and intraverted.....the test makes me out to be an intravert....which I am defineitely not......yet I agree that I am not an extravert.

But...as I am plainly psychoanalytical (from the test), I pronounce that your post suggests that you are a fence sitter in most things except invitations to parties.

I too am a member of this 2% of the Western population*.

I'm not too surprised that there are a few of 'us' lurking around internet forums, I've often thought that there are characteristics that seem to attract "I"s.

What is most interesting IMHO, is that 75% of the population are either Extrovert or Sensing, so IN's are already a minority compared to the average club. But it's nice watching them from above.

I've tried reading Thais and other Asians within this test and it doesn't work because of the over-powering need to answer such test questions in the way that makes the person appear much loved by other people. I call it the herding instinct to conform to the masses and give the 'right' answer rather than an honest one.

I have one friend that came out as ISFP/J, but wanted to retake the test as he wanted to be iNtuitive as it sounded better, I used a different set of questions and he came out the same
