Give abrak time. They're all so excited on that thread about they way they are playing what with them having just beaten Brum and Toon, and what with all the samba football they're playing and that. :D

Whilst i'm taking the piss out of the scousers smokie i'm really struggling to see how we are going to put three past City at Eastlands. Crouch can't kick a ball properly, Defoe could'nt score in Nana and H does'nt seem to like picking Pav, who is fairly <deleted> but still our best striker by a mile. :)

You do realize what a ridiculous concept it is to use statistics to predict the score of premiership matches.

It is a bit like using a computer to predict the winning lottery number.

Statisticians dont usually bet (I dont - certainly not on something as absurd as football) and they are the ones who set the odds. You can of course use statistics to work out the odds of a team winning a game that isnt too difficult in fact I do it all the time. Working out the most likely score is possible but it takes a lot of work to find a score that isnt very likely to be right in the first place.

And what really irritated me with the prediction game is that the most probable score can actually conflict with the most probable result and as you get points for getting the result right you are actually often trying to find the second most probable result. Anyway it is far too much work to do it myself but statistics are statistics and so rather than give up and say I wont play I will just cheat a bit and use someone elses probability model.

Of course you all tried to trick me by having Man City playing twice which is either right or wrong but if you are going to choose them playing twice I guess I have got to.

I probably dont know how this game is scored because someone has gone for a score of 1-7 and as I cant actually recall when an away team last scored 7 he is presumably just looking for massive bragging rights if he proves correct. Obviously I have a lot of home wins because 54% of games end in home wins and a few away wins because there are more away wins than draws.

I should get around 50% of the results right as in win loss or draw. 30% or less will be unlucky and 70% or more will be lucky. I am slightly more likely to get one score correct than to get them all wrong. If I get 2 correct I have been lucky. I think it is unlikely that anyone has correctly guessed 4 correct scores in any one weekend.

Aston Villa v Wigan 2-1

Bolton V Sunderland 1-0

That's because the predictions are for the full week. Man City and Tottenham are playing mid-week in addition to this saturday. So this week they are both playing twice. BTW, you haven't predicted the Tottenham Vs Blackpool game.

Guys.

Bit of a fekk up on the sheet. Don't know what happened but I had Liverpool as the home side against Fulham. Some of you have corrected it in your submissions and some haven't noticed (me included)

What should I do ???? It's last minute so if you don't mind and unless you want to resubmit that game, I'll take the result for those who didn;t notice, as you predicted it. I.e. if you predicted 2-1 and Fulham win 2-1 you got it. Does that make sense? Or, seeing as I messed it up, would you prefer for it to be void?

No problem Mr Bo as I have it right :D I do hope Mouserless put it on correctly  I personnally don't think it should be void.
