She unfortunatly said she didn't want white people buying her albums, that she would rather see he kids starve. This was before she won the grammy. Eminem made a refernce to her in one of his songs, "I bought Laruan Hills tape so her kids could starve." I was so mad at her for saying that and walking up on stage to except her grammy from white people like nothing happened. If you're gonna be rasist be honest about it, and stick by your value system. That way we all know who you are. Sorry, if I went on a rant, I really liked her and The Fugees so I was so pissed when she said this.
