Ping
MRO re the minor change for the Fortuner - any word on roughly when/what changes are likely? I see that recent minor changes included an increase of B10,000 to the line-up and the addition of cruise control to the Sportivo. I'm surprised that they haven't added cruise to more of the models and still haven't addressed the lack of auxilliary inputs on the standard audio system or the AT Navi's system. BTW, any ideas on whether a rear screen can be ordered for the AT navi model/cost?

No real details on the Vigo/Fortuner minor change yet, only a drunken admission that one is coming, then a realization of what was let slip and "the brick wall of silence" after that Will update when more info comes to light. Last roof screen I bought cost 4K Baht for an 11" Zulex 16:9 - best/cheapest option for this is a car audio shop, not the dealer as they'll just outsource to a shop and mark it up (as is the case with all non-factory options you might want). MoonRiverOasis
Just a quick update to this list.. There are some suggestions/rumors floating around that Isuzu may continue on with their current 2.5L and 3.0L engines for the new RT-50 D-Max and MU-7, in order to create a more substantial point of difference between their GMI-700 Chevrolet brothers. Big step backwards (performance, effeciency and NVH-wise) if this is the case, but probably a good move for controlling costs/price points and retaining their current customer base. MoonRiverOasis
More info on the new engines that will power the 2011 (GMI-700) Colorado, it's PPV cousin and the Cruze minor change... The 2011 Colorado and 2012 (unnamed) PPV will have two different engines available: 2.2L TD making 163 HP / ? Nm (same output as current model Vigo 3.0L and Isuzu 3.0L) 2.8L TD making 200 HP / 430Nm (same HP as the T6 Ford Ranger 5cyl 3.2L TD, but with 40Nm less torque) The Cruze will also be upgraded with the new 2.2L TD in November 2011, but sources suggest it may be fitted with an upgraded turbo capable of pushing the engine to 184HP (The current 2.0L TD in the Cruze makes 150HP for reference). GMI-700 is confirmed to enter production in July 2011 for a November launch, and the new PPV that will be based on it enters production in Feb 2012, for a mid-2012 launch. All new engines are VM-Motori designs, and will be built in Rayong.

MoonRiverOasis
If they keep that shape and price should be no problem to sell looks neat Agree, it doesn't have the styling quirks of the Nissan March, nor the usability quirks of the Honda BRIO (which makes a March look big BTW). It would appear the only big changes between the concept above and the production version will be the side mirrors, and the alloys with the plastic covers between the spokes. There's only one "eco-car" in Thailand (Nissan March), until the Honda BRIO launches at the March 2011 Motor Show. The March is E20 compat, but not E85 compat. The only Thai-made car that comes to mind as being officially E85 compat (without modifications) is the Mitsubishi Lancer EX.

Ping
MRO, I've been having second thoughts re a SUV and am wavering between the Fortuner 3.0 V A/T Navi (B1,449,000) and the Pajero Sport GT 4WD (B1,312,000). The Mitsu site now talks about the 2.5 only, but still lists the old engines in the specs. Have you been able to confirm your prior posts about the output of the new Mitsu 2.5? What are your current views on the better car overall, having regard to equipment, comfort, build quality, aesthetics and power?

Well I can read Thai, but not Thaiglish that's been translated by Google These are the changes I can recall off the top of my head for the Jazz minor change however: All models now come with dual front airbags and ABS brakes as standard. New orange paint color. Small styling updates (new bumpers, new wheel designs) New seat colors. New badges are:S (5MT 590K, 5AT 630K) V (5AT 660K) - adds 15" alloys, steering wheel audio controls and central lock. SV (5AT 715K) - adds 16" alloys, different body kit, foglamps, and folding side mirrors. Engines, tramission and base platform remain the same (it's a minor change only).
