The other, went on for years as the trial dragged on. The guy had to stay in a half-way house in another town. His face was even put on the front page of the local newspaper with the word 'rapist' above it. Poor bastard was dragged through hell and back. I was at the final hearing, the judge was appalled at what was clearly a BS case that ruined an innocent man's life.

Both women faced no charges whatsoever, nothing.

First part I agree with, second depends on circumstances.

Repeat offenders, yes. No other treatment would work.

But how many rapes are done by serial rapists, as against the couple who have been to the pub or disco, had too much to drink, get it on together and then at the last minute (or thereabouts) the girl says 'No'? It is still rape, it deserves punishment, but I do not think it deserves as severe a penalty as the serial guy.

Suggest to all who THINK they know what they are talking about to reconsider.
