2 Work Permits For Falang?

Featured Replies

Dear Sunbelt Asia,

I have been approached by 2 different Thai companys for proposed direct employment, both can employ me part time and meet all the Thai regulations, minimum 50,000 Baht salary for Falang etc etc.

Questions?

What would be the best way forward to take advantage of this situation?

Can I as a Falang have one work permit for one company and one work permit with the other?

FYI,

They both dont wish me to set up a Thai company and invoice them as a seperate business entity, rather pay me as part time direct employee for 2 weeks each every month.

Is this possible?

Advantages and disadvantages?

best regards

Yes it is possible to have two work permits in one book. The initial employer will apply for the work permit and obtain the booklet. Then, you can add the second employer for a fee of 3,000 Baht at the Labor Office where the first work permit was issued. You will still need all the same documentation that you required for the first work permit.

Don't you need permisison to add an other employer from the first employer?

Yes, a letter from the first employer on company letterhead and signed by the owner or Managing Director giving permission is required. Since both companies are agreeable, this should not be an issue to obtain.
