My current ride has a Japanese YAKOTA battery (12N14-3A) installed. Its been wildly tortured but has performed very very well for the past 2.5 years.

But, it is showing signs of age.

I've not seen the YAKOTA brand in Chiang Mai. Maybe I've just missed it.

Does anybody know of these batteries? Are they available in Chiang Mai, or anywhere in Thailand?

If not, what would you consider the best Thai made battery?

Of course, Yuasa is the expensive option. Anything else?

Thanks

The best I have used is the 'First Power' brand, its actually used in UPS systems and is sealed.

If you can find the charts for number of plates, batts with more plates usually have a higher capacity, but batts with a lower number of plates release energy and recharge faster.
