Vios Airbags

Featured Replies

Considering buying a new car and while Toyotas are so boring I actually like the look of the new Vios, have driven a rental, and have seriously investigated, however I notice that half the range does NOT have an/or airbag/s which, I reckon, is unimpressive. Airbag technology used to be expensive, now production is cheap, and I think this is very cynical on Toyota's behalf....of course I can buy the model with airbags, but at least driver/passenger airbags should be standard for ALL buyers, not just those of us in this community who can pay a bit extra! The competition in this price range seem to have at least one airbag (and I stand corrected), but I think this is very ordinary, Toyota!

Seems to me that in a country where the average monthly wage is 8000 THB, providing an entry level vehicle with less expensive features is good marketing sense on the part of Toyota.

2 airbags in Vios cost 30k baht. Not everyone can afford or want to spend that kind of money on airbags

The option should be there though. I want to buy an altis CNG and i am not able to have airbags at all.

Seems to me they never go off. Ive looked at wrecks in the police pound but never seen one.Where do they go.?. Retract back in. Not even traces of plastic to show in bad wrecks where they wouldnt have saved anyone..???
