Hello everyboby, I wonder if someone can help me with the following matter:

I'm an Italian citizen and 6 month ago I got married with a Thai girl In Italy. As I got a permanent resident visa to Australia I have moved to Perth one month ago.

My wife now is back in Chiang Mai because she have to apply for a spouse visa.

She have to provide a lot of document, some of them have to be translated from Italian to english and Thai to english. Does anyone know an agency in chiang mai that provide certified translation for those language ?

moreover she have to provide a police clearance certificate, is there any office in chiang mai or Bangkok where she can obtain it?

She have also to have her signature witnessed and get certified copy of original and she don't know how to get it. If anyboby has already pass to this process could please give us some good advice ?

Thank you

Marco,

You are in the correct section to be able to look through many other subjects/posts relating to your inquiry and to find all of your answers.

I'll answer some of your questions briefly.

There are many English/Thai translating services available in Thailand. I have found many travel agents provide this service. Italian to English may be more of a problem though, and I suspect these papers relate to yourself. It may be more prudent for you to have them translated in Australia.

The Embassy should have provided you with the location of the police clearance office. The main office is in Bangkok.

Both of you will need to provide certified copies of your documents. Again, authorised travel agents provide this service in Thailand. A special stamp is used for this purpose.

In Australia, you can use the services of your local court, police station, dentists, doctors, chemists, JP's etc. Again, the Embassy papers state where this can be done.

The permanent visa application form contains all the information you need. If you need further information you can read it all at the Immigration web site.
