December 18, 201114 yr I have exactly the same question as ”tpiety2” (Acting As Liason Placing orders, quality control) dated 2011-12-13 05:05:49 for exactly the same kind of activity. However, I am a permanent resident with a Non-Quota Immigrant Visa and have been married to a Thai national for more than 30 years. In my case it is my own company in Hong Kong that wants to buy goods from Thailand for export to Europe. Would Sunbelt Asia kindly advise whether the requirements outlined in their reply dated 2011-12-13 11:16:59 to ”tpiety2” also apply to me? If so, then I will instruct my Hong Kong staff to buy from China instead. I would like to channel some business to Thailand but this is just too much hassle. Thank you!
December 21, 201114 yr Yes, they would be the same requirements, Permanent residency does not make any difference as far as rights of ownership go in Thailand, you would still need to either open a representative office in Thailand or a Thai limited company [sunbelt][/sunbelt]
