Squirrel In The City!

Featured Replies

Not every day you see squirrels, especially not in the heart of a capital city like Bangkok :)

licklips.gif I used to live...about 30 years ago actually...at a small guesthouse on Soi 38 Sukhumvit Road...about 200 meters down the soi from Sukhumvit Road.

There was a family...at least two adults and some youngsters...that regularly visted that guesthouse early in the morning...there was a birdfeeder that they raided for food.

Squirrels are smart animals...usually they make it a practice to avoid humans...because they consider humans to be irrational animals, and therefore possibly dangerous. (That point alone probably proves their true inteligence).

At any rate, I had a found a willing Thai-female-friend-for-the-night, and she was just leaving in the morning.

When she opened the door to my room to leave, a squirrel was in the hallway. The squirrel ran away...no problem.

The silly Thai girl however, screamed for 5 minutes...waking up everyone on that floor...and bringing the guesthouse manager up to see what the problem was.

Fortunately, my permanent Thai GF, never did hear of that story or that paticular female.
