Village Agm

Featured Replies

At last years AGM the residents on our village voted ( by a big majority ) to employ a Management Company to run the village. The choice was Property Management Company or one Property Manager

The commitee said they would provide 3 quotes from companies to choose from. They did not.

The Commitee however decided ( by themselves ) that it would be too expensive and with no consultation at all with the residents they employed one Property Manager instead. Not a company that the majority voted for.

1. Is that legal.

2. If yes - what is the point of residents voting for anything.?

3, If no - what action can normal residents take?

Thank you in advance

It is not legal and you can either go to the Land Department and file a complaint or call a general meeting and replace the board, or do both.
