Skipped network performance improvement using those tweaks & any software internet boosters, because I found them somewhat fishy.

Instead on Windows 7, only my 2 connection ports in Device Manager changed to 128,000 Bits – “and Set the Flow Control to Hardware”. That’s it.

Former download speed @ Udon Thani was 1,6 Mbps, and tonight the unreal happened, guess what: around 6,0 Mbps…..* No Lies*…tested on YouTube & 3 Speed-test site. Unbelievable and hope it will last!!!!!!!!!!! - Beer beer - Bye bye. #http://www.tweakhoun...tweaking/9.html

I just used TuneUp Utilties, it is the best Windows tuning up program and seems to get better with each yearly update.

I'm not following how and where you made above changes in Win 7. Can you provide more details?

This is the official site:

http://www.tune-up.com/download/

It is very popular so many sites have it.

It's only free to use on a trial basis for 15 days. But there are often many promotions offered and sometimes it's 'bundled' with other software.

Thanks bb1950 and ianwuk....... i have installed tune-up and it certainly looks like a comprehensive program...... it seems to evaluate the windows 7 set up i have running, and then offers suggestions on things it would change so to allow a faster computer, and allows me to simply click once for the suggestion to be adopted, rather than going thro the windows menu system...... it also cleans up disks etc....... i have spent an hour or so letting it do its thing, and pc seems great so far

I Just turned off all the window animations, cursor animations and transparency Windows in Win7 and it appears to have sped things up.
