Chicken Egg Incubators

Featured Replies

Just Wondering if anybody knows if there is somewhere I can go to in Chaingrai to look at

some and Buy one.  Took a risk and bought one from Bangkok from CP Sunteck.  Service and delivery was excellent but although it holds 168 eggs its made good enough when it comes to turning the eggs as it is not strong enough

Hi....I may still.have the number of someone in Chiang Mai who makes them. They are very basic and sre made to order.Manual turning...he delivers c.o.d.Takes about a week he says.If thats what you want bearing in mind you can always take a trip to Chiang Mai to have a look. They are the fridge looking ones with computer fan and usual thermometer..What chickens are you hatching Warrens/Broilers?

Depending on what type of thing you're doing - how many you want to hatch out at once, infection control etc etc - If you can't get what you want in a mechanical/electrical turning incubator here, don't forget to consider the best natural alternative to the hen herself.

Muscovy ducks, we found, will sit on any type of egg or clutch size. Once we established this, we never used our man-made incubators again. 20-25 hen eggs sit happily under each duck. The only thing you have to watch out for is that they don't build their nests too high off the ground - chicks don't bounce as well as ducklings on their first outings.

Hen,duck, turkey and goose eggs all hatched and raised successfully by Muscovies.

Thanks for your comments

Have thought of a way to overcome the fault on the Incubator I Have. Going to Try to fix it tomorrow

Besides Warren Eggs which in very disappointed with have also got duck and turkey eggs

Have currently got about 45 100% Rhode Island Red Chicks now 2 months old

I made one using a commercial ice box. (like you see outside village shops) used 4 60watt light bulbs for heat with thermostat control.

In all it held nearly 400 eggs. We managed a 70% success rate.

Total cost today would be around 7000 baht.

Depending on how many eggs you are hatching my friend in Chiang Rai is making ones out of a Styrofoam box a thermostat, light globe and a fan. Basic but works great you just have to turn the eggs we have had great success with them and not to expensive.

Hey BlueSmurf any chance of a price on those incubators? I could be interested. Can't afford anything too flash/expensive though, budget wouldn't stretch that far. My rooster died just over a week ago and I've got fertile eggs going to waste. Down to only 3 hens at the moment. I'm located in Chiang Mai.

All help appreciated, thanks
