passingas Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 If you go with underground electric feed from your pole to your house, using conduit of course....after the wire is in said conduit and in the trench and ready to back fill....take the time and what little extra cost to at least pour a top or lid on the top of the conduit before you bury it. Unless you are trenching a meter down. I have had to repair mine three times now, planting shrubs and trees. Believe me...Murphy will be there to supervise the hole being dug, right over the dam_n conduit. Even with it marked on the closest wall, the location is very iffy. And the hoe being the choice of digging here, affords a real nice chop and almost guaranteed break on your conduit. True it is nothing a little digging around it and taping it like a mummy with real black electrical tape won't fix, but if you can avoid it....I wish I had done the concrete cap. Like they say here....up to you....pg
