Unfortunately, don't have a photo of it, but years ago I saw a menu in a small hotel restaurant somewhere near Nakhon Suwan that said "rum and cock - 100b." Had to change my standard drink that day.

What's on the menu?

Thanks trainman34014 for that photo.

For those who didn’t open the photo it says

Poo Story

Restruant and Inn

When my Thai gf introduced me to her friends, Miss Aey, Miss Noi, Mr Kid, Miss Poo ...

I did a double take and asked that name again ... Miss Poo.

Humm ... she doesn't have many Farang friends does she?

So yes, the Poo and Porn does appear quite a bit in the translations!

Pattaya, going along Soi Bukhaow, this was on the junction with Pattaya Tai. There's no straight on by the way, you HAVE to turn;

It must be too early for me. What's wrong with that "The Australian" sign?

It's Australia.

I mean, what is not wrong Australia?

You set your foot on the continent and there's something want to eat you, sting you, poison you, scratch you, maul you, bite you or put you in a pouch.

...and yet the migrants keep on comingclap2.gif back on topic...

Oddly after being up for at least a year, the day after I took this picture and posted it, they changed the name and sign. thumbsup.gif

Just being overly polite about "Phuket Fancy" perhaps?

Some absolute classic signs you have captured above ... difficult to find find my favourite ... clap2.gif

But this one above I can explain for you ...

Thai drivers have a tendency for poor lane discipline and will create 2 lanes when clearly the road designers only intended for one.

With that in mind this post-104736-0-96690700-1339360705.jpg was designed for those on the right of that one lane not to try and turn left.

This however post-104736-0-27986300-1339360707.jpg was designed for those on the left of that one lane not to try and turn right.

The last sign allowing the left hand turn is for Farangs who, to much contempt of those Thai drivers behind him/her, has placed the car on the middle of the one lane and indicating to the driver to left turn only.

OH ... my favourite Thai driving indication is when they are driving straight across a major intersection to the other side and not turning right or left ... and put the Hazard indicators on to signal a simultaneous right AND left turn ... translating as driving straight ahead ... blink.png

Which makes perfect sense until you realize that when observed at from the side it appears that they are indicating to turn.

I wish them luck in policing this one.
