I want to use Sikaflex 11fc to seal stainless steel that will be immersed in hot water. The Sikaflex label says to use a primer in this situation to make a good bond, but I have not been able to locate a store that carries such a primer. Is there anywhere worth checking that might carry a stainless steel primer?

A sketch of the item would help. Also remember that stainless is used so that protective finishes are not really required so 'priming' would most likely be 'etching' to give a slightly rough surface to aid adhesion of the Sikaflex.

Generally done by acid. A google search on 'etching stainless steel' will give you many answers.

OP did not say what type of hot water. If in doubt, make sure you use 18/10, which is resistant to chlorine attack. No primer needed. Unfortunately in Thailand people tend to use 18/8, because it's cheaper.
