Duck Farm Owner Seriously Injured as Train Collides with Pickup Truck in Phatthalung
Picture from responders. A 63-year-old duck farm owner was left in critical condition after his pickup truck was struck by a local train while crossing railway tracks in Phatthalung province. The collision occurred at around midday on 6 February, in Moo 7, Makok Nuea subdistrict, Khuan Khanun district. Officers from Khuan Khanun Police Station, along with emergency rescue personnel from Phatthalung, responded swiftly to the scene following reports of a collision at an unofficial railway crossing in a rural village. Upon arrival, officials discovered a severely damaged pickup truck, an older model bearing a registration number from Phatthalung. The vehicle had been violently hit by local train service No. 456, which runs between Yala and Nakhon Si Thammarat, before being thrown off the tracks into a nearby rice field. The impact left the truck completely wrecked. Inside the wreckage, rescuers found the driver, identified as Mr Surin Saeng-arun, 63, who had sustained life-threatening injuries. Emergency personnel worked urgently to extricate him from the mangled vehicle before rushing him to Khuan Khanun District Hospital. Given the severity of his condition, medical teams prepared to transfer him to Phatthalung Hospital for further treatment. Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the accident. Preliminary reports show that the crossing lacked barriers, lights or warning sirens and it remains unclear whether the driver saw or heard the approaching train. Residents in the area have raised concerns about safety at rural railway crossings, urging authorities to install warning systems to prevent further incidents. -- 2025-02-07 -

American man and Thai wife lose 15.2 million baht in Hua Hin property fraud
Run forrest run! In all seriousness, take this to a lawyer and get them to go over it all in detail, get copies of chanotes and check for liens, mortgages and leases and when finally stop laughing ask them what they think of the whole 'setup'....and if you should proceed. Get your own lawyer who acts for you, unconnected with the seller and nothing to do with anyone else involved in this supposed deal/scheme.
