Thailand Domestic Postal Rates

Featured Replies

Can anyone please tell me the rates to send a standard letter domestically in Thailand? Went to the thai post site from but all in thai, no eng button.

I would like general costing of mail within bkk. Any idea? Or Links with more info?

http://www.thailandpost.co.th/rate.php

The English button is there in the form of a flag just above the little postman's head,

but when you put a weight in for it to check the results then default back to Thai anyway.

up to 20 gms an ordinary letter within the Kingdom is just 3 baht.

21 to 100 gms weight is 5 baht

101 to 250 gms weight is 9 baht

251 up to something else only 15 baht. It's not a letter by then anyway.

You're looking for the line in the results that reads

จดหมายในประเทศ

which means "Letter within the country"

Those prices are ordinary, uninsured post without EMS.

Please note there is NO 10 baht rate, so when an immigration officer tells you to put a 10 baht stamp

on your self-addressed envelope, he's wrong. 5 baht is easily enough in most cases.

And finally a plea to use real stamps, not them awful self-adhesive labels. I collect stamps.

I tried to find some information in the post office website. It asks to register, but when registering it says error.

Strange
