Wasn't a bad day today, ruined only by a not too exciting football game.. Both teams seemed to have left their shooting boots at home, but Newcastle were a million times better than last week.

And btw, I sit dead in line with the northern goal line, and I think Reid cleared it before it crossed the line.

Not a good game but 1 pt is better than none .The only down side is Wigan won at WBA . It was not a goal the lad did well to clear it before it fully crossed the line .

I looked at the table after and hadn't realised Newcastle and Sunderland were still in it so deep. Much as I admire the football Wigan have been playing, I see them in the same light as QPR and Reading and would prefer that they go down instead.

1-1 draw for Sunderland last night ,it is down to this weekend if we don't beat QPR then I think it is all over fro us

Earlier in the year the Toon came to the Liberty Stadium and made themselves rather unpopular in SW Wales by trying to kick the Swans up in the air (still the dirtiest team to visit in my opinion). In one of life's little ironies they will now hope that the said Swans can do them a big favour tonight at Wigan. Although our form is **** at the moment and our leading scorer is sidelined I think we we will do our best, but it is going to be tight.

I agree with you ,we did not come out of that game looking good. We need to send Swansea a big thank you for last nights 3-2 win at Wigan

I'm rooting for you to win!

against QPR of course

I think that is the only one of the two games we have any chance of winning but thanks for that.

But fcg, you have some of your senior players back, the need to finish a bad season with a win, 50,000 geordies behind you, le arse shouldn't be a problem !

If thats the attitude your players take onto the pitch then you are going down.

Arsenal are very beatable. Norwich would have beaten them bar dodgy officials, an offside goal awarded a week later! Ofcourse you can beat them. They are doing nothing more than riding their luck

No one has had a real go at them for weeks!

Have to wonder if Wenger has made a sizeable donation to the referee retirement fund as well.

It may look like I have given up but the players for me anyway do not seem to be wanting to play for AP now ,our last two premier home fixtures against Arsenal have been a 4-4 and a 0-0 . back then we were playing a lot better than we are at the moment but I hope I am wrong .

I'll probably live to regret it, but I have to say I'd rather play at your place for the last game than play at Stoke for the penultimate gamesmile.png

personally i'd love too see us put the last nail in the coffin of that <deleted> Pardew on the last game of the season. just for the simple fact he is a <deleted> hypocrite.

oh and also for the fact of pushing the Spuds into their accustomed nearly ran 5th place finish again. w00t.gif

I hope the Geordies are spurred on to win by your downright arrogance.

Maybe you should concentrate on bribing Tuesday's ref first.

Pathetic display/jammy win fcrg, but you are safe now (I do not think Arsenal will lose on Tuesday - hope you will repay the favour next Sunday but realise you have to try to get above Sunderlando!).

How are you gonna survive next year? Pardew goes or half the team goes?

We just stayed up by luck, now lets hope the Makhams stay up so we can have the derby matches,

regards Worgeordie

Woops. You are safe anyway, so no favours to trade, unless you are less generous to the Mackams than Worgeordie and want us to lose so that Wigan get the lifeline to relegate themsmile.png

A poor display the first 15 minutes were terrible I feared the worst, after we scored the penalty we played well against a poor side for the next 30 minutes. When we came out after half time nobody wanted to play or wanted the ball . at least we are safe . You will beat Wigan that is a sure bet.

At last we can breath easy we are safe for another season in the prem ,and lets hope we finish above Sunderland. A real effort to win the Premier next season a top four finish for sure.thumbsup.gif

Unlikely if you have that tool Pardew as your manager.

Very poor season this year, but maybe your French recruits will settle in more next season.

It was looking dodgy for a while wasnt it!

Pardew is staying on apparently, not entirely sure what to make of that. This season he has shown that perhaps tactically he hasnt got that much up his sleeve - although under him there hasnt seemed to be as much drama off the pitch.

Due to his lack of interest do you think Pardew will even turn up for the last game?

pardew has to stay on. he's still paying off the massive compound interest on his big debt at derek llambias' london casino.

Oh right. So we should be a little kinder to him. Gambling is a disease and we should not mock the afflicted.

True but it does not make him a very endearing person regardless. I'm sure you are aware no ones mocking his obvious failings are you not?

You just like him because he's going to roll over for Arsenal next weekend and i don't blame you for that one iota. Kinda takes the pressure off knowing they are not going to bother doesn't it!! His comments on that tell me he's an absolute tool thats brought the game into disrepute. His gambling addiction is his business.

oh hardly, i can't stand the bloke. always comes across as really snide and arrogant when he's little reason to be. it'd be funnier if llambias sent some hired goons round to break pardew's legs like. but instead they gave him an 8-year contract.
