Not an official spotting, however ...

Given the difficulities of the last plane ... maybe something a little more well known.

You just beat me to itthumbsup.gifclap2.gif I am searching for the full calendar nowcoffee1.gif

I am thinking of buying a 1000 calendars, then bring them to New York, rent a helicopter and fly over the snow disaster zone and throw them out 1 by 1.

That should get the poor Americans 'warmed up'. Also good advertising for tourism to Thailand.thumbsup.gif Any sponsors out there?

I'll fly it.

^^ Not one that I would care to fly with.

If I wanted my gf/wife to be a hostie ... I would have chosen a sultry Asian Lassie.

Amusing photo though ... made me smile and wince simultaneously ... w00t.gif

what airline is this ?

blog120213_flight.jpg

LCC-carrier "On the count of three, open the windows and start flapping, hard as you can !" rolleyes.gif

British Airways "We've just taken-off from London-Heathrow, and left UK-airspace, so you can all start cheering and applauding now !" clap2.gif

Asian airline "Who's next for the in-flight Karaoke ?" whistling.gif

LCC-carrier, again "I said, who wants to volunteer, to help serve the meal or drinks ?" rolleyes.gif

"Please don't panic, but is there anybody on board, who's really really good on 'Flight Simulator' ?" ohmy.png

"Here in Very-Economy Class, we've decided to dispense with the normal flight-safety announcements, as we can't really afford the electricity, can you still hear me down at the back ?" smile.png

"It's our new Boat-Race-In-The-Sky Game, seats A-C are Oxford, seats D-F are Cambridge, now Start Rowing Chaps/Chappesses !" laugh.png

Speaking of Lufthansa and what the subject matter of the photo was.

Maybe 5 years or so I ago, I was flying Lufthansa from Germany into Eastern Europe ... done the flight a few times.

One time I looked out the side window and I couldn't believe what I saw ... one of the few times I was genuinely concerned when flying.

Planes travel in corridors as we all know.

Flying in the corridor but in the reverse direction was another commercial jet ... at the same <deleted>' altitude!

We passed at close to 500 metres with a combined speed of maybe 1,000 kph.

To watch it fly towards us was an amazing sight at that speed.

Maybe, apart from sharing this story, my question is ... how on earth did this happen?

I thought that planes had the early warning devices etc?

I had something similar circling over London.. Came out of a cloud and there was a US Airways 767 next to us, close enough that the length of the plane went from one side of the window to the other with my face against it.. He banked away and my heart started pumping again.

Another time I was walking through Bromley in London and saw 2 737s immediately 1 above the other in the same direction separated by about 3 plane lengths.

Where I currently live, I'm at a confluence of 2 streams of air traffic coming out of hold patterns before flying into LHR. On a clear day, at any time, I can see maybe a dozen planes somewhere in th sky. It amazes me that they never collide over London.

New airline "Welcome aboard Start-Up-Air ! I apologise for the slight-delay in departure of our Inaugural-Flight, we'll be leaving just as soon as we can recruit two pilots to actually fly the aircraft !" rolleyes.gif

Air Music "I shall now play some soothing music, on this big red kazoo, while we line-up to land at Suvarnabhumi's new Third-Runway !" smile.png

Not Air Asia, I'd guess, note the lack of advertising on the overhead-locker doors,

And yellow winglets, not Sharklets, on the wing-shot.

Lastly the mixed-Asian passengers, and Kenya Airways B773 (or B763 ?)

& MAS narrow-body jet in the background, daytime flight ?

I'm going for a wild guess at Cebu Pacific A320 flight 930 to Manila, at Suvarnabhumi ? whistling.gif

All we need is a pic enhancement programme to be able to read the Safety card.

Big hint here ...

Flaps extended for descent/landing, is that Laem Chabang with all the moored shipping (so inbound to Swampy) but then why does nobody on the interior-shots look to be leaping-up for disembarkation ?

Perhaps the interior shots are in-flight, and the wingshot is after landing at Swampy, so it would be the inbound-flight 929 ? whistling.gif

Excuse me while I go and get my anorak ! rolleyes.gif

Ricardo ... some great deductions there, and I can see the logic in your answer ... thumbsup.gif

However GrantSmith is correct ... wai.gif

I'll take a stab with a Tiger Airways A320..

Tiger Airways A320 and the anchorage out of the window shot is Changi.

Plus RabC, indeed it was Changi that I was flying into.

So, it was Tiger Airlines

... and an A300
