For The Birds !

Crows, pretty boring. But they are actually (my very own opinion that I won't try to push on to anyone else) quite beautiful. A crow, simple, but when I came home I discovered that there are plenty crows and they are all looking the same in my book A Field Guide to the Birds of Thailand and South East Asia by Craig Robson

But I'm going to put this down as a Large Billed Crow risking to make a tit out of my self

I'm on my way to school and the Little Egret is busy catching dinner

And here was have 2 give aways so I'm sure it is a Little Egret and not a Cattle Egret

1) Yellow feet

2) The bird is in water fishing

Suan Rot Fai just 2 hours ago. I walk around and I hear a bird. I think that this sounds like a Kingfisher.

So I have a look around and there is a Black Capped Kingfisher. I must admit that I was happy to recognize the sound as am just a happy amateur birder

1) Walking around on pastures

2) Yellow bill

I never managed to get a picture of the feet. But you have to take my word for it, the feet are black

And the crows, very frustrating. I got interested when I discovered how many different crows there are, but frustrating to identify them as they look the same. Well, except for the normal grey and black crow: House crow, that one is easy enough. Again, risking to make a tit out of myself I put this down as a Slender- billed crow. Forehead is flat compared with the Large-billed crow yesterday with the steep forehead

I imagine this tail to be square ended that the crow yesterday

Slender-billed crow? Other opinions are appreciated

Now it is time for my fruit salad after long time trying to identify this bird. I thought from the beginning that it was a Scaly breasted Munia. Maybe a juvenile so I put this down as a juvenile Scaly breasted Munia

There was a group of them (all juvenile) enjoying the morning eating in the grass

I was lucky enough to get photos of this bird on my walk through the farms today. I think it is the same as the bird posted by Aladdin and named by Ajarn North.. Taiga Flycatcher. I have some photos from different angles. I would like to thank the above posters because of them I was able to I'd it.

You're welcome, the breeding plumage can be a deep red on the throat area extending down to chest.

Green billed malkoha. I think it is a juvenile because the colour around the eye is not developed.
It was taken in very poor light which didn't help.
