Flowers!

Some of the poppy's started blooming a few days ago.

These are a bugger to shoot as they are quite tall and closest focus distance 45cm on my lens means I have to stand on my tip toes, which isn't ideal for stability.

Why don't you pick the flower ? ?

Something a little different! These photos were taken with my iPhone 5 and are images of lotus flowers that adorn stained glass windows of a Chinese temple outside of Chiang Rai.

Some kind of a (wild) flower ?

attachicon.gifwhat flower.JPG

It looks like it could be this...Amorphophalliua paeoniifolius, or Arum .... the flower is quite rare to see, but the plant is very common around parts of Thailand

I have one in a pot that bloomed the last two years, it was just showing it's head a few days ago... must check it again!

It smells like rotten meat and only lasts a few days!
