I've no idea what these are, but for some strange reason, they remind me of pigs...

Marigolds - "Daoruang" in Thai:

Pull the head off, cut the base of the flower off, separate the petals... 80 baht a sack (cattle feed, I think ):

Some Canna lillies, I picked up this morning.

They all started blooming.

Looking forward to take more pictures.

Cut off the flowers as soon as finished where just above the new shoot TP, they produce new bloom much faster!! ^^ (just in case you did not know!!! )

I can never the name of this shrub, I always like it though when in bloom...

This shrub is "blooming" all year round.

My neighbour has this plant (and the white and the yellow version of it...)[will post photos when the rain stops...], after the colouring, these leaves will fall off and blow up my driveway...

I miss the burmese guy, who was in charge of his outside facilities, a real master in swerving the broom...

At the moment haven't got any Canna lilies in my garden, as I used to have in the old house, but they are sprouting all over the side of the roads where I live.

They like water, I believe, so they are feeding from the drain water.

Here's a nice flower I picked up yesterday.

It's a Hibiscus! or "Shaba" as the Thai's call it... there are a number of different types of Hibiscus...

Somewhere I have a photo or two to show exactly where to cut Canna flowers... can't find it now... will do a new pic again soon!

Mean while... here is the pink flower again, it does not bloom all the time down here on Samui!
