Farmer loading up his trailer with freshly cut grass for his dairy cows.

Isaan dairy cows in our area.....it turns out that there 30 odd dairy farms not 20 km's

from our home and a milk processing plant.So me being a nosy bugger went a visited a couple of them.

I will post some photos of my visit later.

My village head got fund from the OBT municipal (every village got the distribution), he is free to implement facility improvement such as pathway repair, a new waterway dam... etc etc. He chose to have this implement, total setup cost ฿140'000. Money made goes back to village fund. Wise man~

These two shots are of the trial plots that I posted before.I dont know how they are going to be able to tell which

rice came from which plot as in the previous posts you could see the individual plots clearly marked.What these

two show although it isn't very clear in the second photo is that the harvester went straight up and down non stop

as they usually do on a rice paddy.

That is a shame Rom , I remember your posts in the regard of this and it would have been interesting to see the better strain .

Tomrrow is my final pond clearing day... Need fuel. Read the banner if you can...through translation it said project SML. (Small Medium Large Enterprise Project by the Government)... Average profit = ฿10'000/month...Nett ! All proceed go to village fund. (Sure or not~~~???)

Remember that wonkey barn? Amazing what 2 days and a well organized crew (not by me) can do.

Take down the barn, sort and stack all the usable bits including the roofing tiles, burn the rest....2000 Baht.

Build a 5x5 staff house with a 2x3 kitchen and 2x3 bathroom on the side, 85,000 Baht all in.

It was built on quite a slope so the base will be backfilled with rubble rock and sand with a 10 cm concrete slab on top. Love the "Romanesque" foundations.

Apparently most of the barn is hard wood and they will plane and sand it all down 5000 Baht.

Lastly, the lady overlooking her new domain.
