Muslim Abuser Who 'didn't Know' That Sex With A Girl Of 13 Was Illegal Is Spared Jail

  • Adil Rashid admitted travelling to Nottingham and having sex with the girl
  • He met the 13-year-old on Facebook and they communicated by texts and phone for two months before they met
  • He was educated in a madrassa and 'had little experience of women'
  • Said he had been taught 'women are no more worthy than a lollipop that has been dropped on the ground'
  • Added he was reluctant to have sex but that he was 'tempted by [the girl]'

A muslim who raped a 13-year-old girl he groomed on Facebook has been spared a prison sentence after a judge heard he went to an Islamic faith school where he was taught that women are worthless.

Adil Rashid, 18, claimed he was not aware that it was illegal for him to have sex with the girl because his education left him ignorant of British law.

Yesterday Judge Michael Stokes handed Rashid a suspended sentence, saying: ‘Although chronologically 18, it is quite clear from the reports that you are very naive and immature when it comes to sexual matters.’

Earlier Nottingham Crown Court heard that such crimes usually result in a four to seven-year prison sentence.

Whatever happened to "ignorance of the law is no excuse"?

"Sorry judge, my religion taught me that women are worthless so I shouldn't be blamed for having sex with a 13 year old". That is a disgusting outrage. Maybe it's time for the father to dispense justice on his own since the courts are useless.

The Dhimmi UK authorities yet again cover themselves in shame and disgrace. The UK government is also woefully out of touch with the concerns of the public, of whom only 24% believe Islam is compatible with British life. Alas the judiciary is bending over backwards to accommodate behavior that would disgust most people.

I suppose this will be followed by a rash of copycat crimes. The judge should, but won't, be rapped over the knuckles for this... clearly his knowledge of the law leaves a lot to be desired.

Next it'll be, "We're allowed to kill people in my country!"

That seems crazy to me, which leads me to conclude one of two things:

- either the judge is clearly wrong

- or I'm clearly wrong.

One of us has had all the facts of the case presented to us, one of us is a trained legal professional, one of us was nominated to a position of authority on the grounds of his competence.

I think I'll let the judge get on with his job, and encourage him to keep away from mine, unless it is put before him in a professional capacity

it's quite interesting to see how frustrated people get a kick from something that's none of their <deleted> business.

It might be interesting to dig for the facts to understand the judge's thinking when passing sentence. I understand that his opinion was that sending the young man to prison would turn a silly little boy into a hardened criminal. I'd be surprised if he learned a respectful attitude to ladies in prison.

Rather than questioning the judge's sentence, one might question the quality of education being given at the Madrasah school in question, though as others always post when the question of the value of school fees comes up, it is primarily the parents' responsibility to impart moral values to their children. However, I would have thought that any Madrasah school ought to be giving their students a thorough grounding in the expectations of the society in which they find themselves, specifically with a view to keeping them out of trouble, since their parents are unlikely to able to do this (or they wouldn't be sending their kids to a madrasah school...)

Nice to see the judge considering the wellbeing of the Muslim paedophile, but forgetting that of the victim. Sadly this case is not an exception, the British judiciary are as compromised as it's politicians. Here is another case.

Four Somali culture enrichers escape a judicial sentence for a racist attack on a white girl, because they were drunk and not used to the effects of alcohol. So it would appear if you are a Muslim in the UK you can break your own religious rules yet still use the 'Muslim' defense to mitigate the consequences of your actions.

Amazing!

I wish that I could have used that excuse when I was a teenager.

  • 4 weeks later...

Surely the PC brigades would appeal this.

Yeah rite.

Poor muslims.........
