Chaoyaphraya Dam Golf Course

Featured Replies

Any TV golfers know anything about the above golf course?. Its near the town of Chainat in central Thailand and the Chao Phrayo river. Its a nine hole course and I was thinking it may be an EGAT run course, so should be in reasonable nick.

Its within range for our small group of golfers in South Phetchabun.

I Wouldn't recommend it. Condition is not good and layout even worse! You would be better off going 20 km down the road to Takhli. It's an army course and good value at 180 baht a round.

Thanks for that, I would think it has not been open long. I did find some info about it on a German golf website.

Tak Khli is the home of 4 Wing, Royal Thai Air Force that fly F16's. Many years back we were contractors servicing RTAF C130's there and played the golf course regulary. Its now extended to 18 holes, bit rough and ready, but ok.

They have a good club house and small pro shop. We still visit about twice a year, always a good day out.
