Singaporeslim2012 Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 Urgently looking for supplier of transition piece, sleeve, repair clamp or similar to connect water pipe PE to existing PVC pipe, 3-inch. Any advise appreciated. Tried all suppliers and have hope that some expat has source. Thank you. Slim"
Crossy Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 I would take the simple approach, likely not the cheapest method but the bits should be reasonably readily available. Obtain:- PE 3" to male threaded fitting. PVC 3" to female threaded fitting. Lots of PTFE tape. Join the threaded fittings together using the PTFE tape and/or a suitable sealing washer. Bond the relevant ends of your home made transition fitting to the pipes. Job done "I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"
Singaporeslim2012 Posted February 14, 2013 Author Posted February 14, 2013 Thank you. We were successful in connecting the 4-inch main pipes with this repair clamp http://2864.th.all.biz/goods_repair-clamp-for-hdpe-pvc-pipes_13480 and are looking for a similar version in 3-inch. Thank you! Slim'
