Help With Travel

would like to go to udon thani from chang mai on my next trip but cannot find a train that goes that route, if there is a train that takes that route maybe one of the veterans of this site can let me know, not interested in flying, does anybody have a suggestion, thanks in advance

Bus is the most direct way...

No train direct - must go via Bkk.

Very good bus transport though from the Arcade bus station, just off Chiang Mai-Doi Saket Road, Square 1G on this map.

Try Nakornchai Air as a first choice, they seem to be the most comfortable.

I know Nakornchai have a direct link to Korat, not sure about Udon Thani, you might have to change once.

True, I am also not 100% sure about Udon, although I think they do go there. But they are the most comfortable though and worth enquiring first.

Nok Air has a direct flight CM-Udon, 1 hr, 1000B.

thank you again, this part of thailand is foreign to me and your help is much appreciated, looking over the train schedule i couldn't see how i could make the move but the bus will work and if all else fails i'll try the plane, thanks again
