Death By Toothpaste Part I: The Fluoride Myth

Featured Replies

The fluoride in the water in Oz tastes horrible. I drink bottled water and I use a herbal toothpaste with no fluoride.

I don't know if the stories are true but adding any chemical that is not necessary into the drinking supply isn't a good thing.

It certainly hasn't stopped dental problems in Australia.

There was a great deal of buzz about a "fluoride conspiracy" some 40 years ago or so. Pretty much died down. Meanwhile whole generations have grown up consuming fluoridated water without any of the dire effects warned of being apparent. Fewer dental caries, though.

I don't know if Thai water supply is fluoridated or not.

note that even "natural" water sources, i.e. from artesian wells, springs and the like, may have varying amount of fluoride in it, as with many other minerals.
