Moving Lots Of Things From Bangkok To Ranong

Featured Replies

I will be moving from my condo to Ranong for a while and I need to take everthing with me. I havent boxed everything up yet but It will be a fully loaded pickup. This includes things such as computers and other expesive equpiment.

What is teh easiest/cheapest way to send this stuff to Ranong? Someone mentioned that I could rent a truck and drive it there myself. What are the other options and what are the costs involved?

If you don’t have any friendly neighbors with a pick up I would think your best bet is to rent a vehicle with driver. That way you would not have to worry about returning the vehicle once you finished the move.

One time we were in Bangkok and rented a minibus with driver for a day for 1800bt. Plus fuel. I would imagine you could find some one with a pick-up to do something similar.

We just went into one of the many travel shops round the Koh San Road area but would guess any travel shop would do.

You could also contact one of the major rental companies like Hertz or Avis and see what they have to offer.

God luck. :o

I bought a large sofa in BKK and the shop shipped it to a place 240km far for 700B, 3 days later. Maybe some shipment cost was already inbuilt into the price.

Just as an orientation.
