Recieving funds from abroad without bank charges

Featured Replies

I'm looking to set an internet site up which will involve receiving funds from America, Austraia and England. Currently I only have a Thai bank account. What will my options be to recieve funds from the customers without them or myself facing bank charges for international transfers.

Without bank charges? That's easy: Pick up the funds in cash.

Smart answer considering I'm in Thailand and I said my intended clients will be from America, Australia and England. Profit margins would be great!! So thanks for your advice but next time you have such an idea, don't pass it on to me.

I think that you will totally be disappointed my friend. I.e. all transfers from Sweden ALWAYS goes via Bangkok Bank, who is adding some 250 baht for the pleasure(!!) of handling money that is NOT for their care in the first place. And than your own bank will add som 200-300 baht as well....

So FREE transfer doesn´t exist at all here in this country... But does it exist in your homecountry really........

You asked for a free service from the banks. Next time you have such an idea, please don't post it here unless you are prepared to receive answers that put you back on earth.

Open bank accounts in the various countries you want to accept payments and take payment from your customers in their native currency. Use banks facilities to make international transfers. Try HSBC or CITI for such services. Alternatively run money through a forex broker... better exchange rate but you have the SWIFT charges... which route is better depends on the amounts involved.
