Thai Energy minister to outline plan for rooftop solar panels

Featured Replies

Yes, they allow 3 weeks for application and 6 weeks for installation! If not installed right in time the solar panels wont be connected to the grid. Never saw such a silly business proposal, this is a scam, the cake has been divided already. I am doing solar business here, I will not apply, by far too risky. The result will be hundreds of malfunctional systems, it will completly ruin the reputation of solar energy in this country.

We looked into solar panels with batteries for our roof some years ago and got 1 estimate for 250000 baht. The batteries are expensive.

Most roofs around us have suspended roofing to deflect the suns rays and that's probably more efficient. Or top floors are not used or for laundry.

I think systems should be developed to mount arrays around walls.

30 years behind the rest of the word, but better late than never. I have my doubts it will ever happen though.

In Australia we have solar panels which feed power back into the grid ,reverses the power meter as it goes through . A friend of mine with a pool refused his average elec bill $400 to now $15 .it would be a good step if the do manage to proceed ..Why is it I have doubts?
