Removing QVO6

I accidently installed QVO6 and now when I start ie it will automatically start in http://www.qvo6.com. I uninstalled QVO6 and also removed the link in y Internet Option, Home internet link. it still come up as I start the ie. it is very annoying, how can I remove it for good

I am running Win 8 and ie 10.0,9200

Ouch, this one is quite slimy. Seems like Windows8 IE is a special case.

I followed all the steps, but like a lot of others, it's still there, impossible to remove. At least for me.

Just in case anyone else has this problem, I solved it by three simple steps

1. removed QVO6 from tools; internet options; general; home page tab

2. remove all the references of QVO6 settings; manage add-ons; search provider

3. removed QVO6 from IE target file using IE Property; shortcut tabs. you should only see "C:\Program Files\Internet Explore\iexpolre"

As i happened to see this, and also one of my friends also get infected with qvo6

To remove it completely, you need not only eliminate qvo6 from browser settings, but also remove it

from PC control panel program lists.
