What is obvious is that you are wrong.

Certainly turbos and superchargers work in very different ways, but their purpose in life is the same...to force more air into the combustion chambers.

Ok, 23 people who know nothing about Harley-Davidson motorcycles, other than they "do not like them".

Your original post was about some jackasses, riding stupidly, who happened to be riding Harleys.

There are plenty of instances of jackassery taking place on every brand of motorcycle.

It is one of the reasons that I tend to not ride with more than one or two other bikes. For some reason, regardless of the bikes being ridden, when the group gets larger than four the collective IQ seems to stagnate.

Your point about "used on different engines for different purposes is certainly valid. The operating characteristics between turbos and superchargers are vastly different.

What crap!

They may get a lot of attention while parked but on the road, they're embarrassed by faster, much cooler sportsbikes.

..and I always thought the appeal was that the engineering and design was basic so they could be worked on and modified by the rider. I.e change the camshaft without dismantling the engine.

I have owned two Aprilias in the last few years. Excellent bikes. The bike in my avatar is an Aprilia. Too bad they are unavailable so far in Thailand. I'd love to have another.

I ride a Honda 125 Wave and enjoy every minute when doing so. I couldn't care less less if I look cool or not.

In my mind, the best bike you can have is the one you're riding at any particular moment.

If you like bikes, you like bikes.

If you have a need to critisize other riders, you're missing the point.
