Arrgghhh! That's just wrong :(

With heavily restricted airflow no surprise that it's not very efficient.

I'm with yourself, H90 and Naam, move the beast downstairs but use a different A/C man.

Indeed, everything wrong, absolutely nothing right about that install.

Crazy wrong. How can someone do that dumb of an install. The efficiency just went down the tubes, so to speak. biggrin.png Chances are compressor overheating and shutting down prematurely causing short cycles much less the back pressure issue.

outch.....

the tubes are squeezed between wall and compressor unit?

Find a shop which can mount it on these L shaped steel outside, over that "garden". With some luck when shifting everything to the back, maybe the tubes are long enough.

when doing that, also checking the inside. Chances are good that something is wrong with the rubber pads under the compressor.

And checking the filling. Just checked one, thought it is leaking and low on pressure. Installed from a friendly guy. He complete overfilled it.

Chances are good that your guy here made additional mistakes as well.

Doing the outside installation should be in the 500-1500 Baht range if they don't need to refill. and the double if they need (just rough estimation).

culprit might be, that the monster is stuck so close to the wall

on the other side of the wall = head of bed

another example of brain-amputated Thai aircon engineering (airflow limited to side intake). move the sucker and your noise as well as the cooling performance problem is solved!

usually someone "can" install an aircon. And someone who helped 3 times, opens for service himself.

Or some well educated opens a shop, hires the cheapest people he can find, shows them once how to do it and don't teach anything more for the next 10 years.

So it is complete up to how interested someone is....And often that is not much. And my guess is, if someone is doing a real good job at many households someone will hire him for his factory and remove the best one from the pool of aircon engineers.
