At HoneProI bought an in ceiling powered vent that is made to attach to 4 inch flexible vent and to flush mounted vent plate.

I bought it all. I found out that they have no clamps to connect them together.

What do I use if not a worm drive ring clamp and where to find it?

Long cable ties (join several end to end if you have to).

Pull them tight with pliers and they are very strong, I've used them as hose clamps in the past.

I found done 11 inch ties and figured I would have to do it that way. But I'm not doing the install and won't be around when its done so I'm concerned it may not be put on tightly.

Find a place that sells/services tractors. They have the clamps in large sizes. Bought mine there when I installed the exhaust fan over the kitchen stove.

I got lucky today and found the worm drive clamps at HomeHub. They had every size imaginable.
