BANGKOK, Dec 11 - Police today arrest two men suspected of burning a bus on December 1 in front of Ramkhamhaeng University near Rajamangala National Stadium where Red shirts had rallied to show their support for the government.

Royal Thai Police's Commissioner General Office adviser Pol Lt Gen Jarumporn Suramanee said the evidence collected to arrest the men was from a camera of a citizen bystander showing three young men taking items from the bus. One was caught in the bus and burned to death.

The second man was identified as Adisorn Srichanpong, 29, and the third is a 15-year-old with his name being withheld due to his age. However, they denied torching the bus and said the dead man could not make it off the bus in time.

Authorities added that the dead man, 19 year-old Suradet Khampaengjai, was involved in the arson.

The bus was torched in front of Ramkhamhaeng Unviersity and the flames spread rapidly, locking Mr Suradet inside, causing his death.

The two detainees said they lived in Bangkapi district and were asked by a group of vocational school students to get on the bus and steal items from there.

Police said there are 23 related cases awaiting further investigation. (MCOT online news)

hahahaha, again we see the" we didnt do it, we were told to do it by students" crap. They were obviously there to steal whatever they could, getting caught meant they had to try to get out of it somehow especially seeing they killed their other conspiritor. Anyone believing they were told to do it by anyone is an idiot, thet are just trying to cover their <deleted> after being caught. Just think, they probably ran away like every other idiot that causes problems and never expected to be found out.

If guilty, life in jail. Files marked "never to be released" . These ferals need sorting.

Oops... So the rumor that vocational school gangs were involved wasn't bs... Interesting!

RIP to the boy dead, and right punishment for the thieves, arsonists.

Right, I heard those reports and sure it was likely to be true. Now have another confirmation...

The one that was killled wasn't a boy, he was an adult and he was allegedly one of the arsonists. You seem to be sympathetic to his fate, caused by himself.

RAMKHAMHAENG CLASH
CAPO, police focus on Ramkhamhaeng violence

The Nation

BANGKOK: -- The Centre for the Administration of Peace and Order yesterday held a meeting of police investigators in an attempt to speedily resolve who was responsible for the violence related to the November 30-December 1 mayhem in Bangkok's Ramkhamhaeng University area.

Police have three teams working on the four fatal shootings, the discovery of 19-year-old Suradet Khampaengjai's skeleton in a burnt-out bus, as well as other 19 cases - eight attempted murders, eight assaults, two incidents of property damage, and one of arson - said Pol General Jaramporn Suramanee.

Police have so far arrested 29-year-old Adisorn Sijanpong and a male minor for reportedly joining some youngsters in smashing and burning a bus near the university on December 1 and stealing its stereo system. The two are being detained at Hua Mark police station.

Some pics of the innocent peacefull redshirts at the stadium and around Ramkhamhaeng University.........

EDIT: photo's removed: The photo's can be found here: http://asiapacific.anu.edu.au/newmandala/2013/12/10/ramkhamhaeng-a-view-from-inside-the-stadium/

Strange that the BIB can only find enough evidence to charge these 2 boys with an offence.

So you've taken Nick Nostitz's pictures totally out of the context* and attached your own 'interpretations' to them, for what purpose exactly? To implicate the red shirts in the bus arson? The lads who burned the bus supposedly arrived in the area at Sunday (or at least the one who died did), so how are they linked to those pictured? They're more likely linked to the group who were smashing up vans early Sunday morning:

1385905563-2-o.jpg

Not to indulge in crude stereotyping here, but they look far more like people who'd be angry at the red shirts than they do anyone else. I'd assume they're possibly linked to the university and/or the technical school students that were fighting with red shirts. By the way, when these kids burned the bus, there's a video where many bystanders are cheering. It'd be understandable if locals were annoyed at the red shirts enough to do this, particularly given the 'rampage' the red shirts went on in the early hours of the morning (documented by Nick Nostitz). Obviously we don't know if the kids who burned the bus are definitely linked to this group or not, but it's the most plausible scenario.

As you well know, there are far more violent pictures of the "innocent peacefull students at the stadium and around Ramkhamhaeng University" that I could post, but since it's now a hundred percent clear to anyone in their right mind that students were violent and attacked the red shirts first, I don't see the need to continually rehash things. I am not putting the blame entirely on the "students" here, or the red shirts, I just don't see why some people are capable of only recognizing one side as violent and in the wrong.

*Original report for the true context - you'll see for instance that the car was apparently damaged by a 'bomb' thrown from inside the university. A ping pong bomb one would assume. Neither were there any reports of 'looting'. Astonishing that many posters here tolerate disingenous posting like the above on a daily basis, yet describe Nick Nostitz as biased. Is there hope for humanity? http://asiapacific.anu.edu.au/newmandala/2013/12/10/ramkhamhaeng-a-view-from-inside-the-stadium/

No, I am not sympathetic, but I have been taught to respect death of anyone. So that's what I did. I did not judge his action though.

And he was 19 years old, in my mind and from his actions I consider he was a boy.

What an unfortunate waste of life.

I'm sort of thinking the opposite, from what info I have.

Those photos all come from the so called journalist NN's report about how terrible the students were to the poor poor red shirts. Hahaha.

There's no worst blind of the one who don't want to watch.

Both sides are fanatic blinded, unable to reckon facts from propaganda.

And many posters on TV are not different...

It's a total waste of time to try make a civil talk, like it would be a waste of time with a herd of hooligans drunken till their last hair.

Death, be it due to natural causes, accident or by anothers hand, merits sympathy in its own right. The person that died is often the subject of additional review for their part in it.
