Navy Seals commander insists foreign forces were brought in

BANGKOK: -- Commander of the Navy’s special naval warfare or Navy Seals reaffirmed Wednesday that foreign armed forces were brought into the country to deal with the protesters.

Rear Admiral Winai Klom-in told a group of protesters from the People’s Democratic Reform Committee’s eastern branch he could not accept the use of foreign forces to kill Thai people.

He claimed that he had evidence to prove that foreign forces were brought into the country during the red-shirt protest in 2009 and 2010.

“I can confirm that our unit (Navy Seals) does not seek publicity or fame. Certain missions are top secret that must die with us. We do our job for the country even though we do not receive praise. We know by our hearts that we have done the job,” he told the crowd who showed up at his unit in Sattahip, Chon Buri, to give him moral support.

Rear Admiral Winai admitted that he wouldn’t care less whether he would be demoted, sacked or jailed for the confidential information he exposed about foreign armed elements and for the stance he has taken to side with the people instead of the government.

Foreign forces ???? This is getting wackier by the day. I can hardly wait to see

how everything turns out. I truly look forward to his evidence of " foreign " forces

brought in during the 2010 red shirt uprising. Wonder which side they were on... :-)

I'm not sure what he means. Is he saying that the democrats brought in mercenaries to kill redshirts in 2009/2010 or that the other side is doing it now?

He needs to put up, or shut up, it's as simple as that!!

Oh my lord.

There are guns for hire in thailand for tuppence, but no, we bring Cambodians.

Where is my tinfoil. Better still, they should invade. Yes.. That's a plan.

A possible diversion tactic to take attention away from the police claiming navy personnel were involved in the bombing the other day?

The Headless Super Sleuth should be put on the case

With nothing like ninja like stealth the shadowy Navy Seals are making a lot of noises.

LOL if any Thai navy SEAL is on operation anywhere else in the world with another force they will get the P*** ripped out of them for this one.whistling.gif

This same senior officer had earlier - in a story published by The Nation earlier today - confirmed this with greater details that can be read on thaivisa's news stories page. In that story he revealed that Cambodians were being smuggled across for the purposes of dealing with the protesters. He also claims that this happened in 2009 and 2010, and wondered why the police hadn't done anything about it. As the Yingluck administration has already had conferences with media outlets today, with a warning not to provoke unrest - this kind of news story may very well disappear, as the Yingluck administration now takes aim at the free media in their effort for complete control of the narrative.

If anyone was wondering what the catalyst could be for thais to direct their hatred towards foreigners then this may be it.

Cambodian, the best friends of Thaksin . . . this has been speculated about for a number of years and they alluded to it back in 2010. First time I've seen them making a "statement" about it tho.

The signs are not good. This is precisely the sort of claim that totalitarian movements make to associate an adversity with the 'other', and justify extreme measures. Presumably the Rear Admiral is referring to the MIB, given his present alignment with the anti-government side.

What evidence? He hasn't exposed anything yet.

He means that redshirts as well as in 09/10 as now brought in Cambodians to attack protesters and then the army

You better watch out he may sue you like they are doing to anyone else who disagrees with them.

I have a friend in Sattahip who is a Thai navy seal. A more considerate and polite person you couldn't meet. These people train hard, often with U S navy seals and their loyalty to Thailand and the risks they take, even in training, should not be trivialised.

Cambodians brought to Thailand to deal with the red protesters in 2010, and the yellow protesters in 2014...

Well, it makes the things rather confusing

Personally I would not attach too much importance to this "secret information" he was supposed to take with him to his grave...

Ten bus loads of armed Cambodians are Yingluks real secret weapon.

They can move around un noticed (apart from the Navy Seals who saw them but didn't report it or do anything)

With their totally different language, they can blend in with the population as well... esp with their darker skins, slighter frames and general non exposure to skin whitener, they can blend in with with the Middle classes on Demos.

CAPO asking for pics and FB awash with selfies and crowd shots. Nobody spotted on yet though.

Smuggled in 10 vans apparently. Have the Cambodians perfected the art of stealth van driving?

Shouldn't this blokes inactivity to prevent this, represent a gross dereliction of duty. Non allied forces operating on thai soil would mean that he would be absolutely obligated to intervene.

By his inactivity he has broken his oath to the country. Shouldn't he be removed from the army for his complicit.activity.

Funny he waits 5 years with saying this, and instead says it now just as the police are closing in on the Victory Monument bomber.

I suppose the mind boggling defamation laws here are preventing him from speaking the truth,

thus preventing any punishment. I always get a kick when some politician here will accuse

somebody of wrong doing, but only refer to the person by their first letter of their name.

"Rear Admiral Winai Klom-in told a group of protesters from the People’s Democratic Reform Committee’s eastern branch he could not accept the use of foreign forces to kill Thai people."

Unfortunately a way round that has been found on several occasions.
