BANGKOK: -- Noppadon Pattama, former PM Thaksin Shinawatra's legal adviser, yesterday called on protest leaders to stop harassing members of Thaksin's family.

This is after Thaksin's ex-wife, Pojaman na Pombejra, was unexpectedly surrounded by a group of whistle-blowing PDRC supporters led by the husband-wife team, Taya and Nataphol Teepsuwan, while shopping at the Emporium department store on Sukhumvit.

A clip of the "whistle-blowing attack" was posted on YouTube and shown at the PDRC stage on Wednesday night.

In the clip, Pojaman is seen quickly walking away, with her bodyguards. She encountered the whistle-blowing group while coming out of a shop, and the group followed her and her guards down the escalator to the parking lot, continuing to blow whistles until she got into her van. One member of the protest group was also seen pushing one of Pojaman's guards.

Noppadon said PDRC leader Suthep Thaugsuban should warn Taya and Nataphol to stop threatening other people before their action divides the society further.

"Blowing whistles at people is harmful as well as a violation of people's rights. It can also be seen as intimidation," he said, adding that the number of people who love Pojaman is far higher than the total number of people in the "elite" regime.

To be paid for from government funds?

surely that would be against the constitution.

I have been harrased in numerous car parking facilities by whistle blowing attendants....please tell them to stop intimidating me and violating my rights!

These people in the clip have actually assaulted the ex and the security guy. A little different to a parking attendant.

Disgusting and disgraceful actions by these morons. She is no longer married to Thaksin and probably only tied to the extended family because she gave birth to his children. By all means protest against the government and politicians but leave other people alone you bloody animals.

Noppadon has the same priorities as Tarit, never mind the nightly grenade attacks an shootings of PDRC protesters and the cowardly, sickening attacks on innocent people in public places, "we simply must clamp down on these whistle blowers, before something drastic happens, like someone important losing face". Another statement from the soon to be jailbird.

The yellow shirt whistling is the modern day equivalent of cavemen beating on chests and grunting. Personally i think they should ditch the whistles and tattoo: "brainless" on their forehead. Certainly save them some energy.

Yep. What they should do is start spilling the blood all over Bangkok like red shirt lunatics. That's very modern and hygienic. Spilling blood all over the city. In any case, whistling is still better than beatings and throwing hand grenades at innocent people. Don't you think? Or you think is civilized to blow up children to pieces?

I am aware of these attacks but who actually did it? Who has access to m79 grenades and launchers? Many on here seem to have concluded their investigation and identified the offenders.

As we try to contemplate the violence associated with the blowing of whistles, we are left yet again with the question as to what exactly constitutes " elite ". Is it someone who is shy of being a centi-millionaire ?

This is actually a very civil result of the great divide her former husband (divorced on legal grounds to keep assets when his money was seized btw) created.

The Shins and lackeys will have to get used to the fact Thailand stops at Korat or Uttaradit for them. Not good, but Karma is a femal dog!

It has become known that if you're involve in politics in Thailand there is a certain degree of certainty

that you, your spouses and your extended family will be under the hammer if and when things turns

ugly, which in this case it had and it will be worse, and if you can't stand it than hide somewhere till

the some kind of "amnesty" is being touted around again...
