Caretaker premier says she's willing to die on the democratic battlefield

The Nation

BANGKOK: -- Caretaker premier Yingluck Shinawatra on Friday insisted that as defence minister, she was ready to die on the democratic battlefield.

Yingluck stressed that as caretaker prime minister, she is the country's rule keeper of both country and its democratic principles and therefore any talks with rally leader Suthep Thaugsuban must be in line with democracy.

She was responding to an offer by Suthep to have a oneonone meeting with her in an attempt to end the deadlock of the ongoing political chaos. Suthep said the meeting would be broadcast live.

However Yingluck responded yesterday that Suthep must first end the protests and said more participants should be invited to the meeting.

"I'm also the defence minister meaning I'm like a soldier who has to do his duty until the last minute. A soldier has to keep the last stronghold and die on the battlefield. I will die in the democratic battlefield," she said.

Guess that's something her brother told her to say too.

Get democracy upright?

Her own ministers and party members clapped their hands for joy, on the stage, after they have heard of the massacre in Trat.

From what democracy is she talking about?

  • Popular Post

As the semantics of Yingluck's statements have always followed a similar pattern, this is such a wild turn of rhetoric that one suspects Thaksin has been busy cooking up catch phrases. In any event, her fervour clearly doesn't extend to talking to Suthep. It doesn't clearly extend to talking to the NACC - I wonder what her excuse is there ? It clearly doesn't extend to talking to the EC. I wonder what her conditions are there ? It clearly didn't extend to her debating anyone on TV when she first ran nationally. People are justifiably curious. They simply want to know - will she talk to anyone ?

PM vows to die in the battlefield to protect democracy

yingluck-16-wpcf_728x413.jpg

BANGKOK: pp Caretaker Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra said today she was willing to die in the battlefield to defend democracy rather than letting anybody to destroy democracy.

On her Facebook page, Ms Yingluck posted the following message: “In the capacity as the defence minister or as a soldier who has to perform his duty to the last minute, the soldier must die in the battlefield. Today in my capacity as the defender of democracy, I prefer to die in the battlefield of democracy rather than letting somebody else to destroy our democracy.”

silly silly woman, is she for real ? Surely she is slightly retarded !

I do believe her statement will inflame the red mob even more and increase their boldness if that is possible.

This was the funniest thing I've heard in a very long time! cheesy.gif.pagespeed.ce.HaOxm9--Zv.gifcheesy.gif.pagespeed.ce.HaOxm9--Zv.gif

She's running and hiding all the time for uncomfortable crowds.

She knows its over and will die soon on the battle field. Her swan song. She is saying good bye.

  • Popular Post

Just like every thing else she say's...

She is just a bigger coward as her brother, she is already in hiding up north. she is certainly no Joan of Arc.

  • Popular Post

hahahahahaha, quite obviously this was written for her as she is simply too stupid to string together a sentence such as this nor does she even know what it means. She has no intention of ever meeting anyone for a one on one debate that is televised, she is simply not capable of the brain power needed to answe questions that are not pre arranged so she already knows the answers(have to be told to her of course). Her publicity writers are just trying to garner support for her by having people think she is something she is not, once again we see her pathetic grovelling.

Yingluck is a hero, showing strength, leadership and standing up for democracy in the face of obnoxious bullying by some very cowardly people.

Suthep is a corrupt, boneheaded bully with murder charges hanging over his head... and yet, bizarrely enough and to their utter shame, we have a vocal group of posters on this forum supporting this scumbag. Suthep is worthless, he is just interested in a power grab at all costs.

I must say she has a strange way how to show strength and leadership, by running and hiding for the crowds of angry farmers who like to know when they will get paid.

I agree. It's inflammatory. Fanning the flames of civil war. Some leader!

And what are the Shin family's paid terrorists who bombed and shot up the night market in Trat and bombed a family shopping at Big C Ratchdamri? Are those brave lads just working hard for the Shins to put rotten rice on the family's table?

So Poo is now a foot soldier for democracy willing to die with a M76 grenade launcher or an AK47 in her hand, bravely shooting down women and children from the back of a pick-up truck. Please go ahead and do it. Every child's guts blown out will keep your Shinocracy in power for another day.

Such a brave hero she has chosen to run off up North, refuses to meet the farmers face to face, and won't enter into any form of debate in or out of parliament.

She chooses to make these silly comments on her facebook page which is clearly ghost written.

She has no more interest in democracy than Suthep does. Only interested in Shin rule and absolving all members of her family of responsibility of past, present and future crimes.

Should the extent of corruption in this regime ever be revealed you and certain other posters will still be praising this parasitic and shameful despotic family.

Bravo Yingluck!

Thai PBS has made it a policy of making news out of FB posts...( Yawn) Guess there wasn't enough real news out there...

Guess that's something her brother told her to say too.

Like in every other reliable news we need to know when and where.

I suppose she'll have to go shopping for the latest Gucci Seal Team 6 fatigues for this assignment.

My chippie mate has volunteered to knock up a box for her, free of charge. He needs to know how tall she is, and how wide across that lard arse.

I'm whittling a wooden stake for her heart. Reckon it will need a needle point, fire hardened, to pierce such a shrivelled and hard organ.

It seems their machinations to keep power get more extreme.

She must do something to take attention off the NACC probes and the eruptions of the farmers when the latest "vow" to pay the overdue rice pledges is simply broken.

Escalate the red mob whilst at the same time pretend to appeal to get the UN to mediate. Edging all the bets as usual.

be very careful as it can be arranged.................giggle.gif

Some die on the rice field, others die in a jail, others die when in exile and some die claiming they were fighting for democracy.

Is she trying to steal Suthep's slogan? "Live or die, lose or win -- we will know on Monday December 9." (with the revolving dates)

I hate to tell you this, but your HERO is the one that is not showing leadership. She does not deal with the big problems, or face the charges against her in person.

And now she claims she is a soldier for democracy and is willing to die on the battlefield for this? I am supprised that she can spell the word democracy.

What a b*ll sh*t talk. She is not only talking down every soldier in the Royal Thai Army that is doing his or her duty to democracy, but she is also talking down democracy by it self.

Wake up and change your glasses, those red tinted lenses or out of facion by now.

I'd be interested to know who really funds these "journalists". All their articles seem to be slanted. Oh, thats right - they are connected to the nation newspaper. now, who funds the nation newspaper? whistling.gif

It is inflammatory designed by her script writers who are also the pay masters of the red shirt terror mob to incite more violence and outrage to improve their hand at the bargaining table. This is out of the IRA copy book. You must ramp out the atrocities so that people are sickened by seeing dead kids and women with both legs blown off before you go into negotiations. It always worked for them.

Poo is like a wind up toy. She has no ideas of her own. But spouting this dangerous nonsense might make her an assassination target as much as it ramps up violence in her family's favour. If she does end up like Seh Daeng, the journalists will have a field day regurgitating this and saying she got what she asked for.

Funny how we don't see articles about her using her feminine charm to disarm the opposition and how they were at a loss about to criticise a woman PM. Seems like 100 years ago now but it was only in 2011.

Not taking either sides - I find that peculiar comment. Of course everyone want to defend the democracy. So what is it all about?

  • Popular Post

Oh pu-leese! spare us this martyr talk, you can barely spell democracy, let alone understand it. Would that be the 'unaccountable democracy' or the 'whitewash democracy' or the 'bankrupted democracy', or perhaps the 'oligarchy democracy'. Honestly, you need a new speech writer madam, it's all so embarrassing.

Thai politicians are a bunch of drama queens.

Unfortunately, so are a few TVF posters.
