retirement visa

Featured Replies

I'm currently on a year retirement visa where your report every 90 days. Which is dated 17th June 2014 or my visa expires 11th may 2024. Im going back 4th to uk. Do i apply for a new visa before i leave uk or is this too early.

Thanks..

It seems you have a non-oa visa you got from the embassy in London. I assume you meant 11 May 2014 for the date your visa expires.

Check your visa sticker to confirm it is a OA visa.

It it is a OA visa you should leave and re-enter the country before 11 May and get another one year entry. And then get a re-entry permit from immigration to keep that entry valid.

Do you have an extension of stay issued by Immigrations in Thailand or a non-imm O-A visa issued by an embassy?

Maybe you could revisit those dates above for clarity while checking on whether it's a visa or an extension of stay as well.

As Ubonjoe said, if it's really a non-imm O-A visa you can get another year to stay in the country by exiting and re-entering the country before the visa expires. Then when you go to UK, you'll need to get a re-entry permit so that you can return to Thailand without the need for a new visa.
