Popular Post BKKBrit Posted March 28, 2014 Popular Post Posted March 28, 2014 Good. There's no room for violence in this struggle. Punish them to the max. 4
TallGuyJohninBKK Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 First time I can recall in a long time of the police ever laying their hands on any kind of Red Shirt suspects in any of the attacks/bombings... Wonder what's up with that??? When I saw the headline about suspects being arrested in the NACC bombings, my first thought was to ask: Did the police let them keep their begging cups and prosthetic limbs or not? But seriously, based on the account in the news report, it doesn't sound like they have a lot of proof that this group of guys were actually responsible for the grenade attacks. Just being at the scene, acting suspiciously and having weapons found at the same scene isn't quite a conviction.

Popular Post rubl Posted March 28, 2014 Popular Post Posted March 28, 2014 Good, cleanup the area. I mean when Ms. Yingluck goes to answer some questions the NACC has for her, we wouldn't want anything to happen, now would we? 3
TallGuyJohninBKK Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 That's interesting... The Thai PBS story, toward the end, also has the additional detail of a pair of soldiers being fired on while patrolling around that Redshirt encampment area. First dismantling the Army post there, now shooting at the soldiers on patrol. It would seem, some extremist parties have lost all inhibition and respect for law and order. Earlier before the M79 attack on the NACC office, soldiers on two motorcycle patrol were also fired upon by gunman while they patrolling near the NACC headoffice at 10.30 p.m.Thursday night. One soldier was slightly injured when one of the motorcycle slid and fell to the ground when it was hit by bullets.
Popular Post siampolee Posted March 28, 2014 Popular Post Posted March 28, 2014 Now what was it Koo-Tec was saying about the arms that his group had access to and how they would use them? Perhaps it would be a good tactical move to find and detain him as the instigator of this violent act. Remove the serpents head and hopefully the resultant writhing death throes will finish the whole Red Shirt serpent off. As an aside. . Has there been any statement condemning the affair and praising the arrest of the suspects from the likes of Surupong,Tarit Chalerm etc and of course any comments from the current caretaker government leader ? 3
Popular Post Fat Haggis Posted March 28, 2014 Popular Post Posted March 28, 2014 Good result, although I'm pretty sure that no doubt the anti government champions will say these are token arrests, or the sacrificial lambs offered up for the greater good. Doesn't matter, it's a result, and 10 less morons and some weapons off the streets. 5
djjamie Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 Try the ThaiPBS story instead http://englishnews.thaipbs.or.th/nacc-bombing-suspects-arrested/# Interesting. I thought it was weird that police alone would arrest red shirts. Now I know it was a joint exercise it makes sense now. Well done on the army for removing 10 more terrorists from the streets. Lets hope they are not out of jail soon. Didn't know that "gunmen" fired on 2 soldiers as well. Dismantling bunkers, firing on soldiers. They are itching for a reaction from the army. I suppose what is the point of amassing a 200 000 strong armed street gang if you can't use them.

However in my view the dissension will not come from the anti government faction but from the pro government pro Red Shirt faction, with the keywords no doubt being ''Fake pro government supporters.'' The fact that there would seem to be that 10 violent armed morons were arrested thus it's 10 less militant Red Shirt extremists on the streets is indeed a positive fact, 3

I heard 2 grenades and then a little gunfire last night, I guess around 11pm .. so something was happening down there that I haven't seen reported
bulekee Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 Question :- How many Thais does it take to throw a grenade ? Answer :- In your own time. The Redshirt giving the correct answer will be sent on an all expenses paid grenade throwing course run by the SAS

Fryslan boppe Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 Good. There's no room for violence in this struggle. Punish them to the max. And no room for coup-mongers. Punish them and their enablers to the max. Without them, everything would be running smoothly, including parliament and any planning for upcoming elections by all sides. Explosions and all acts of violence such as this, regardless of the perps, all goes back to those seeking governing power outside elections, aided and abetted by biased groups and courts. In this case what came first, the chicken or the egg, the answer is clear.

seajae Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 the police are finally starting to do their jobs, this alone is great to see and surprise surprise they found weapons on the red guards, why were they not searched before this. This goes to show how simple and stupid the reds are, they block entry to the place then start firing grenades at it and keep all the weaponry at close quarters so they can continue to use it each night. Lets see if these people will be released or charged, the next big step and will the police now start to hassle the reds to clear the area as they have shown to be armed and dangerous or is this only reserved for anti govt people. 1
MGP Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 The CAPO head yesterday made declarations to celebrate that the Red Shirts dismounted the Army-Checkpoint in front of the NACC, while he remained silent about the attack to the monk. As far as I know, he is still silent about the Red Shirt weapons...
chainarong Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 The only way this would make any sense, was if the 10 suspects had on bright coloured shirts with "I Did It " screen painted on the back. 1
DrTuner Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 I don't pretend to be a weapons expert, but aren't M-79 grenades 40mm shells that are put into the launcher that looks like a fat single barrel shotgun ? Those in the pic look like something else.

Surely there can be no doubt, that these grenades and weapons were planted, by the evil anti-demaocratic anti-government demonstrators, to implicate the peace-loving guardians of democracy (a.k.a. the red storm-troopers). 3
