"An Australian man who passed out drunk during his flight to Phuket was carried off the plane still unconscious on arrival yesterday and rushed to Thalang Hospital."

Best way to get through immigration without filling any forms and show passport and visa, BIB even escort you to your hotel for free, thanks for good travel information, now I know how to enter Thailand on my next trip. clap2.gif

I'm gonna cancel my Elite card and ask for a refund.

Most Australians ,English and Americans,Russians ,even French ...are very humble , witch is understandable

if you only speak 1 language and depend on your lady to fix the daily things and speak in your behalf.

Isn't it ?

They understand that even most Africans,Filipinos ,Indian ,Vietnamese ,Pakistanis,.... speak more languages than them .

Even their Thai lady will speak more English after 1 year, than them speak Thai ,isn't it ?

So that's why they confuse big mouths with big brains ?coffee1.gif

Think about this.

How could he have flown from somewhere in Australia in that state ?

Were there 1 or 2 fights ? Are there any direct flights on the day he flew from OZ to Phuket ?

Did he get on board the 1st flight in that state ? Or the 2nd flight ?

How could he have got on board the 2nd flight in that state ?

How many drinks can one person buy and drink on a flight ?

Did he have his own Duty Free booze on the plane ?

Is it possible that his drink was spiked on the 2nd flight ?

Any thoughts ?

Unconfirmed reports coming in from around the world indicate this may not be an isolated incident and may be linked to a new powerful recreational drug, consumed in liquid form, and apparently known in certain circles as alcohol.

You are Spot on ..This is not Alcohol ( well not as its Known Currently ) , this gentleman ( loose ) was involved in " Alternatives " ,

and I'd be reasonably confident as to what he was Taking .

It has NOTHING to do with his Contry of Origan , its a worldwide problem .

I agree, with some posters, not all are bad and over the years they have tamed down a bit, i recently talked at lengh to a family on holiday in Thailand from Uk they were now living in Aussie, they were making a go of it career wise and the bloke part of the family said 'a lot of rednecks living there' but they enjoyed the climate ,they have two teenage lads.

On their own, they in the most part, are fine but in a crowd can be a little overbearing and really can't take a joke about themselves, contrary to the Irish and others (whom a lot of them are decendants) and yes don't mention the convicts, they are not impressed.

It could be a 'complex ' derived from their history or lack off. Culture and politeness is only filtering through as they spend more time travelling and experience whats acceptable behavior, the first timers no chance .

A gross display of character and bad judgement regardless of race or nationality. Most people on this forum apparently call Tahiland their home/soon to be home/ or temporary work place. So why is everyone so critical of almost anything that happens in Thailand? If I relied on the majority of postings to decide if Thailand was a decent place to move or visit I would decide not to do it. I see plenty of people who also feel passionate about Thailand and I appricriate their opinions even when a bit harsh because they seem to be a bit sympathetic to the thrid world life.

Thailand suffers from so many of the perils of Third world status and hence the reason it is a thrid world. So why not go back to your motherland for all of you complainers about Thailand. To think this poor sole is not represented in every western country is a foolish thought. We all come from countries that have some very awful ambassodors traveling around doing stupid things. I for one did many stupid things in my younger years and hopefully a few less now. It does not excuse his behavior and thankfully he did not harm anyone. Lets hope he learned from his extreme binge where he probably he suffered a black out.

And then some posters wonder why some Thais look down on the foreigners......

Most, not all, Austrailans have a chip on their shoulder. They have an inferiority complex to Americans and Europeans due to their heritage as prisoners sent from Europe. They are jealous of them, and love to attend their schools just to gain credibility.

However many have come to accept their status and have evolved into good old blokes.

They now come to Asia hat in hand looking for opportunities to make money. Unfortunately, there are sooooo many scammers and exploiters from Australia, who don't care about Asians and look down on them as little yellow people.

To their face they act nice, behind their back, Australians are among the most racist people in the world.

While this guy appears to be an idiot of the highest order, I have to say the above is the first full frontal attack on Australians I've ever seen. Sounds like somebody had a bad walkabout experience.

Quite Obviously ..Its Highly unlikely he was JUST drinking , not with these reactions .

For Max Booze , he would have had to have " Loaded Up " prior to Boarding and Flown Thai ..

Little chance on Quantas ..No hope Jetstar ..

Other " Substances " will be involved .

But agree , Ship the Guy Straight Back in my view .

Looks like the nurse is giving the guy a nice kick.

It is a medical manoeuvre akin to tapping the arm to wake up a drowsy or sleeping patient. Only the Thais know it..... ancient art......knowledge passed down through generations of nurses....

I think Mr Blackmirage2013 has pulled his head in. Now too gutless to make any more comments or tell us where he's from!!!

Re the main story, the drunk should've been detained until sober and then deported.

As an example to others.

Whatever you say, a lot of good hearted people between the hospital staff, the lady he groped and the police, to let him go on with his holiday without making problems for him.

Isn't that the new strategy? Instead of ganging up on visitors or locking them up or sending them to a tourist court or charging them 20x for a 1x tuk-tuk ride when they arrive, the new policy is to tolerate them and give them time to spend all their money on holiday and when the cash is gone...then let the hell break loose on them so they have to wire home for bail and bribes.

So, who let this idiot on the plane in the first place?

And why did the cabin crew allow him to drink so much alcohol of the flight?

Looking at the guy in the picture, it looks like he's cracked open the duty free as well.....burp.gif

No problem. This is what a lot of tourists come here for.

He'll have a good story to tell his mates back in Oz.

I bet right now, that his local pub has buzz on about this incident and already has a framed picture of him hanging above the bar.

Legend status!

Exactly!

LEGEND!
