What tyres to buy for my Nouvo SX?

Featured Replies

I promised myself some Michelin Pilot sporty's, after hearing recommendations here.

Never did get round to it, but now I need a new back tyre, badly cracked.

Went to Maxxis in Pattaya, again recommended here on TV. Was told they can no longer get them in the required size and he was waiting on a new replacement model, however no idea when this is likely to be.

So now I am a bit stuck as I cannot wait and I really dont want to get another stock tyre.

I was wanting to go up a size and get 80/90/16 front and 90/90/16 rear.

Anyone who can recommend something? And hopefully where I may purchase in Pattaya.

Thanks :)

do a search for the yamaha elegance 135 ,there is loads of info

it has the same 16' wheels and i got one dunlop on the front and an irc on the back (i ordered both 10mm wider than stock to get a bit more rubber on the ground )

now it sticks to the road like superglue compared to those plastic stock tyres it came with ,i can lean way into corners

braking distance greatly reduced too by having good tyres

all the famous tyre places in chinatown in bkk will ship them to pattaya for very cheap by ems and ul likely get em the next day

1. Suggest 90/80 rear for better clearance.

2. Entering Soi Siam Country club off Sukumvit not far (<100m. ?) on the left is an accessory shop where I purchased.
