More redshirts heading for Bangkok Monday

5-19-2014-11-51-03-AM-wpcf_728x413.jpg

BANGKOK: -- More redshirt supporters of the government are heading for Bangkok to join the mass rally hosted by the United Front for Democracy against Dictatorship (UDD) on Aksa road, about 30 kilometres off the huge anti-government rally in front of the UN Building on Ratchadamnoen road.

The redshirt supporters were seen travelling on buses, pickup trucks, vans, and private cars on Phaholyothin highway.

At Pak Chong district near Si Khiew, about 200 vehicles, mostly private cars and pickup trucks, with about 500 people were seen parking by the highway awaiting signal to start moving.

Most came from the Northeast.

They planned to join their colleagues on Aksa road to demand justice for their ousted premier on Constitutional Court’s judgement, and to oppose plan by the Senate to nominate a new prime minister.

Their leader in Bangkok Nattawut Saikua made clear Sunday night the redshirt supporters would rally inside their protest site on Aksa road peacefully and would not move out to confront the People’s Democratic Reform Committee supporters who will begin their campaign to force all remaining caretaker ministers to resign Monday.

All waiting at the same place....seems very "organized" not like some people are angry and head for BKK.

Anyone have estimated numbers at Red rally site and the PDRC site?

And then the CAPO declares all demonstrations by the anti-government groups illegal and treason.

But the try on the other hand to pay and organize for the red skirts to travel to Bangkok.

At a 1000bht per head wow!

The PDRC were 'compensating' supporters 750baht a day for 'loss of earnings' in January - I know some teacher's that attended and confirmed this. How did you come by your information, or are you just making things up?

The Red-Shirt paramilitary forces that are heading for BKK are scary. Seems like Cult of Leadership Militance, N.Korea style

Just last week redshirts were filing a complaint with the police as they did,nt get their 100bht as promised,

As for anti government supporters being paid i have only seen it posted on here by government supporters, although i do know a few who join the protests i very much doubt they are being paid.

The big bad guy in Dubai will try to wage war because he is losing his puppet government. If the army intervenes, lil sis, Jatuporn, Chalerm and their buddies can run out of the country and claim the future arrest warrants are politicaly motivated. Then live the good life elsewhere from their stolen money. The UK and other countries will be happy to see more money come.

Ready to roll after they have received their fuel allowance, and not the promise of it.

Appears they are wising up.

The reds have even enjoyed police escorts. And now we also know who supplies the weapons...

I'm hoping it won't, but it could get very ugly very soon.

You right. They have even caught red politicians with weapons in their car.

If they can squeeze 5,000 people into each car Jatuporn will have his million. My personal guage of attendance at UDD rallies is my neighbor, if he goes I figure there will be a decent crowd he isn't and hasn't left the village this year, perhaps he has relatives with rice farms.

maybe the red shirts should emulate the PRDC and Sutheps manner of intimidation since te army and police do nothing to stop them ie start hounding all the Democart MPs, NACC and Cosntitutional and Election Commisioners and also all the families of the PRDC leaders including their supporters ie Singha, etc. Should be fun to watch.

For heavens sake everyone.......please stop all these nonsense both sides......this wonderful country and its economy is being ripped by both sides.....enough is enough.

Confirmed.

Per the wife's sister's uncle who's brother has the kwitiow stall in Ban Kruat market.

That is indeed the figure widely bandied about.

Red tide or just dumb country bums who are still looking for handouts? For them its just about the money. C'mon, stop the trolling.

It looks like Mr. Dubai wrote a few checks, I hope for the redshirts the they are not canceled before the can have there money. But if that happens there will be enough police officers availible to take there complain that they didn't get paid.

I wish!, that would be an improvement. All those you mention have been victims of "intimidation",. except that instead of being whistled at they have been bombed and shot at.

That's true. Counting relatives, coworkers, friends, and friends of friends, I know around 100 persons joining the PDRC protests, and they're not paid.

Food is free, but not paid by the organizers but provided by kind people.

I don't agree about your ammart stories ect, as the protesters certainly are not ammart.

But can you imagine how much more can be done for the Thais if corruption is tackled you free up 30% of budget. For that to happen there must be reforms and the biggest example of corruption Taksin has to go.

But tell me what changes do you want and who has to pay it ? Upping up the minimum wage brought a lot of inflation and problems and did not do much good. So tell me what would YOU want changed and how to finance it.

I am all for a fair country but I hate subsidies, I am more for a good education and then figure it out yourself. In my view there will always be differences in salary (and so there should else there is no reason to study or do your best or start a company) but the education should be good so people have similar chances.
