Smokemachine
Even the recent case red politician driving chiangmai car plate vehicle into bangkok caught possessing ammunitions is also setup? After been caught, high ranking RTP and high ranking govt officer ordered the on-duty personnel to release everything back to the car owner. I think you gonna say us shortsighted again. This must be the pdrc who put those weapons inside the car. They know this car is coming from chiangmai to bangkok. This red politician is been set-up.

mrtoad
The police, DSI, CAPO didn´t find in 6 month nothing. Now the army is cleaning up since two days. Bingo. They had no inclination to do anything about it, as they were clearly under The DLs orders. I'm hopeful that the Trat murders will now be followed up, and the perpetrators rounded up and appropriately dealt with. DSI and CAPO were just attack dogs for Thaksin.
Thai at Heart
This evening the army have found more red shirt "third hand" weapons in the vehicle parked at a red shirt "3rd hand" protest site. Gotto love the army for there crack down on violence and terrorism. Like Ahbisit in 2010, I wish General Prayuth had come in earlier. It would have saved many many lives. I cannot judge Prayuth though. He is getting the job done and saving lives at the hands of the "3rd hand" terrorists. So hold on. Now the reds are the third hand? smedly
I'd be interested to see if they can tie these weapons to attacks as far back as 2010 and maybe even the people
alfalfa19
An M4 is a rifle, not a "submachine gun". It is not even an automatic weapon. It is considered a carbine. It is a short barreled version of the venerable M16. The military version is definitely capable of full auto firing, unloading 30 rounds in about 1.5 seconds. Search on youtube for M4 Carbine Assault RifleIt's a deadly and very serious weapon.
JohnThailandJohn
'Huge illegal firearms seized in Samut Sakhon' Key word 'huge'. NOT. I guess it is all a matter of perspective as this seems huge to me given the location. Had it been found at an army base then not. 1 AK47 assault rifle with foldable stock and 777 rounds of ammunition for the rifle 1 rifle mounted with a telescope and 38 cartridges, 1 M79 grenade launcher, 2 MP1 submachine gun with 48 rounds of ammunition, 1 carbine with 154 cartridges, 1 M4 submachine gun with 275 rounds of ammunition and a silencer, 1 pistol, 8 improvised explosive devices, 3 hand grenades, 120 bottles filled with gun power If i was visiting a civilian's apartment and they had all this I would certainly think they had a huge stock pile. Then again, I think I have a huge penis but the girls tell me it is just extremely large Edited May 21, 2014 by JohnThailandJohn
wprime
Why do people always seem leave their ID cards with the evidence? Exactly =planted. This was a raid on a house. Where do you keep your documents? At your house.... They guy may not have been on official business so would not necessarily be carrying his ID at all times. May get some strange looks wearing a red shirt ID around Tops. They arrested the guy too....so he will be a fake red? It is a legal requirement to carry your ID card, displaced alien card or passport with you at all times within the kingdom. WOW!!!!! theres a legal requirement to carry a red shirt ID card..I must find mine out!!!!!! Re-read the article. You have interpreted it wrong.

JohnThailandJohn
More proof positive of the necessity of the martial law declaration. The army truly did step in just in time to save the country from eruption of communist Red terror. You should go on wikipedia and see what communism is... Without being negative towards them, it is hard not to consider the Red's as being a communist or extreme socialist movement. They even wear communist gear as well as wear pictures of communist leaders not to mention they are "Red" and when they do share their beliefs they fall inline with communism ... neither of which dictates if it is a democracy and holds elections. Communism is an economic system such as Capitalism and not a political system as a Monarchy or Democracy might be. Again, no judgement as Thailand might do well under a more communist system given its current situation in history but I just wouldn't fool yourself into believing the Red faction doesn't lean towards communism. Like any system it can be bad or good depending on who is running the show. Edited May 21, 2014 by JohnThailandJohn
GeorgeO
Ye,gods,an obvious set up,this is why i generally stay on the other forums,if you blokes are to shortsighted to see this well,up to you. ...you've already tried, unsuccessfully, to make your point. The fact is, the apartment owner is already in custody and will be "singing" very soon, probably leading to further arrests. The game is up for your beloved terrorists, so nobody cares if you wish to spin it and place the blame elsewhere, the important thing is the Army is showing that it has the will and the competence to find these weapons, and the people who are using them, which is something that CAPO, the DSI and the police have been unwilling/unable to do for the past six months.

AleG
it seems someone in the know is informing - the only way I can think this is possible What is impossible is the police not being able to find and catch any suspects without the help of the army, well, the same as how impossible is for the police not to find out about whorehouses... 200 meters from a police station... with bright, gaudy neon lights advertising their trade... klauskunkel
Why do people always seem leave their ID cards with the evidence? I give you 3 reasons, you can pick anyone you like, or a combination thereof: 1. They didn't get the memo... 2. They really are stupid red buffaloes... 3. Normally they have police cover-up, but since the army took over...

Mister Fixit
A good start and hopefully they will keep it up but I wouldn't exactly call it a 'huge' seizure. Good enough though. That lot would kill and maim a lot of people and well done to the Army, who are plainly WAY more efficient than the excuse for a police force.

Mister Fixit
More proof the UDD is a terrorist organisation. Time to arrest the terrorists. If they do not surrender peacefully then start attacking them with drones.. Thai's attacking people with drones ? These clowns haven't learned to drive cars or trains properly yet ! Or buses ... djjamie
It must have been a set up by the anti government people. Now who would leave his ID around like that. What goes around comes around. In their own apartment? Lots of people would. Most would. no one who was a serious terrorist would, wake up. So they are not serious terrorists or at the very least they are incompetent terrorists which typifies the red shirts too a tee.

A stick appears HUGE if you are on the wrong end of receiving a hiding from it... but what you and others seem to have lost the plot on is that the use of the word here is not correct... a HUGE cache of firearms it is NOT.
